Two walkout bouts took place late Saturday night at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa following Antonio Tarver's one-sided win over Clinton Woods. In a notable upset, junior middleweight Chris Gray (8-7, 1 KO) shocked Buddy McGirt pupil and previously unbeaten Brian Mihtar (9-1, 8 KOs) via six round unanimous decision. Gray outclassed Mihtar in the middle rounds, landing clean left and right hooks to Mihtar’s dome. Scores were 58-56 on all cards for Gray. In a second junior middleweight clash, late sub Akinyemi Laleye (9-2, 4 KOs) beat Willie Chisolm (6-3, 3 KOs) in an uneventful six-rounder. Laleye was the more aggressive fighter and outworked his Chisolm to win 58-56 on all cards.
