Jesus i didn't think things were so bad with McGirt. I thought he was unlucky with some of the fight's like when Mayweather annihilated Gatti, That was Floyd at his very very best and i dont think anybody could have done anything about that as Floyd was way too fast for Gatti. Also with the Tarver Hopkin's fight Hopkin's is way too smart for Tarver and i'd have him winning everytime. But 3-30 is a misrable return and something must be seriously wrong with McGirt's gameplan.
You can add Sechew Powell ... to that long list of losses he was KO,ed Last night by unknown on ESPN wedsday night fights with McGrit in corner looking dumfounded
The thing I can't stand about him is he never get's his fighter to fight with any urgency. His guy can lose every round & in the 12th he will just tell him the same bull****....drink this here water, use the jab, quit looking for 1 punch, go to the body baby. This is boxing, sometime's you gotta tell em to Knock the ****er OUT!
" . . . like the punk they Call Mcgirt, got his feelings hurt/ showed his true colors, had to yank up his skirt . . ." Pernell and Smif-N-Wessun buried the man a looooong time ago. :tomb People are quick to say he sucks - which he does - but look at the "talent" that he's working with. Litzau, Brewster, Adamek, etc.?!?!?! Get outta here. Adamek would have gotten the tar beat off his ass on his best night with his beast trainer against Dawson. Period. Litzau is reckless. Period. Brewster is little more than a strong beard and deep religious conviction . Period.
He took on Matthew Macklin recently and in Macklin's first fight with him he outboxed Campas pretty easily and got back to the more fluid boxing style he had before being trained by Billy Graham(Hatton's trainer) , although it does seem he loses a lot of tv bouts . I think he's just too eager to take on fighters , and often doesn't select guys he's suited to working with .
The McGirt curse carries on. Honestly, when I hear that McGirt is in a fighters corner I know for a fact he'll lose.
