I wouldn't be shocked if it was an early stoppage for Smith... Not because Holzken is a bum or anything, but he has a tendency to cover up and absorb a bit punishment while waiting for an opportunity to land his counter shots. Not a good idea against Smith. On the flip side if he can get through the early barrage he might have a chance against a gassed Smith lol.

Yup, Smith had a damn good streak of early stoppages. I can see Smith bombing Holtzken out early(rounds 1-3)

Hoping for a good fight though.... Holzken is in shape and will go out on his shield regardless, this much we know.

Could be closer than expected. Should be a body punching contest, as long as it lasts.

Completely one sided. More one sided than Eubank vs Yildrim. Thats the type of calibre this fight is. Compare this too the Cruiserweight Semis and it will tickle you.

Smith too much power, too big and too experienced. Will be a stoppage. Probably at the middle of the fight.

Never seen Holzken before but because of his slick haircut he is now one of my favourite fighters and I hope that he can win the tournament.
I predict that the ring card girls will be saying "Oohh and Aahh" over his slick new haircut.

First thing I said when this fight became an option was "way too early", and I stand with that. Pretty sure Holzken knows that too.

Will only slightly root for my countryman in this, because don't think it would be very good for the tournament's status if he would upset Smith here. That said, Smith TKO7

Callum Smith early to midround KO. THING is, even though the combative sports of boxing and kickboxing are similar, there are huge and significant differences technically and fundamentally. Former world champion kickboxers working cab drivers has never impressed me. There have been quite a few transitioning guys that looked great against cans but those differences I mentioned glaringly show up against decent competition

There also have been a few who have been quite effective at the top end and even become very successful champions :)
