He did well that night vs 44 y/o George (got a wider UD on George than Holyfield managed) and he dealt with Ruddock better than Tyson did. No doubt he's competitive vs a 90's Tyson. If he'd been cagier against Mercer (like he was vs Foreman) instead of going all out for a KO he likely would have got to the cards.
Great fighter one of the most dangerous fighters of all time. I bet anything nobody has studied Morrison more then I have,in fact not long ago I took 10 hours just watching all his fights, and that's not including the years since the early 90's. Its definaitely apparent his skills were eroding sometime around the Ruddock fight. his one mistake was not being focused on mercer a fight he would in all likelihood win 9 out of 10 times. One thing I learned watching this is hes a 4th generation fighter, which explains is ability to party while being able to perform, all his loses were due to that. I think people should be very aware both his sons mostly Trey are 5th generation fighters and could be a serious threat,i already predicted Trey a top guy by 2020. I cant tell you how much advantage if boxing runs in the genes. Its a HUGE advantage for sure...one really has to have that to understand that! Tyson vs Morrison ? What a fight it would have been in the early 90's or Tysons second comeback,i can assure you Morrison wouldn't have been partying. lol Tyson strengths however find Morrisons weakness and that was Tysons best punch the uppercut. Ruddock made Morrison take a knee in round one with one.....
**** Tommy. He fought his entire career with HIV that he got from sharing steroid needles. He deserves little sympathy.
