*The Carl Froch is gonna smoke another American Fighter Express*

Froch is gonna take Dirrell into deep deep water, boxing ability alone will not be enough to win this one.
This is too much of a big ask for the unproven American.
If he stinks the place out running and pot shoting making Froch chase him down he wont get the decision so hes gonna have to engage sooner or later.
If he has the skills to pick froch off in the early to middle rounds and the heart to go into deep waters later on and come out still standing then fair play to him but this is a massive massive ask.
This is one of the easiest picks of the year for me,, far too much on his plate especially fighting in Notts far too early in his career.

Funny how you're not paying attention. Dirrell already said that he couldn't wait to get Froch in the ring because he believes he is the weakest fighter in the tournament. While I'm not certain that Froch is the weakest, I can certainly see where he is coming from...Froch is the least technically-sound fighter in the competition.

 

This thread seems to be more anti-American than pro Froch. True, Dirrell is unproven compared to Carl. But what makes Froch so special since his biggest win was over another "over rated" American, just barely?

 

Dirrell's style will present problems to Froch and will win by UD!

 

You see the judges giving a majority of rounds to Dirrell when he likes to box going backwards, so Froch will be looking like the aggressor all the way through and the home crowd will be roaring every time Froch throws a punch that comes anywhere close to landing? :think

The thing is Froch is not gonna be able to land anything worth the fans roaring for...Froch is so slow and will have to take 4-5 punches just to TRY and land 1 punch.Dirrell will win the rounds off of the cleaner and harder shots landed.I see him winning 2 rounds at most.

 

even in his limited fights, dirrell has shown he can win different ways, running and potshotting vs curtis stevens and banging it out vs anthony hanshaw

i think he can win a decision in england in a boring boxing match, because then it will likely be one-sided in his favor

Dirrell was just trying to avoid the punches that why it looked as if Handshaw had dropped him...and Froch is slower then Handshaw.

I very much doubt that Froch is slower than Hanshaw. He's certainly less accurate and hits less hard with less variety. Dirrell tried and failed to avoid Hanshaws punches, hence the fact that he wound up on the deck. He backed himself into a corner and his defence wasn't up to scratch.

You must have switched off after four rounds if you saw Taylor box Froch's ears off. The rest of us saw Taylor win the early rounds before Froch swept most or arguably all of the second half of the fight before finishing him late. I would have had it a draw with a knockdown in the last. Judges would have had a SD to Taylor. Most observers had it in that range.

 

Did you even watch this fight??? Handshaw landed a clean shot that took Dirrells legs out. It was a clear knockdown, the replay proved it, and everyone watching the fight, commentators included, knew it was a knockdown. Dirrell clearly beat his ass after that, but he was down nontheless.
