Any stoppage win over a top 3 HW is quality. I also rate Liston dominating Folley as quality.

He wasn't hit that often in the ring. Take a look at his late political interview - search for "UpFront - Klitschko on Ukraine, Russia and a new Cold War threat" at Al Jazeera channel on youtube, he certainly looks to be perfectly sane, talking in English, when he refuses to admit nazi serving in Ukraine army, multiple crimes of the army against civilians, torture of civilians by police, etc, as claimed by USA newspapers, Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International. "It's Russian propaganda, I don't know about any such things, I live in Ukraine". Typical Ukrainian politician. Sorry, but it's his speaking skills.

Roy Jones Jr and James Toney were ranked in the top 5 that year.

That tells you all you need to know about how weak the Klitschko era was.

Oh, and if you think I'm making things up about Vitali because I'm Russian, you can ask anybody else who can speak Russian whether the quotes I posted before (although translated by me) are true or not. Like I said, it's well known thing among Russian-speaking people, the interviews where those quotes are from are available on youtube and other places.

I rank them two amongst the greatest fighters in history tbh.

Any stoppage over a top 3 contender is a quality victory in my eyes.

Had you been following the political situation in Ukraine, you would know what I mean. Yes, lying about things or switching sides is typical for most politicians, but the way it has become in Ukraine is a different thing altogether. I don't have TV, so I'm not watching Russian channels, for your information, but there are some non-Russian journalists who are regularly reviewing the news on Ukrainian tv-channels and in newspapers and rebutting the fakes and lies shown on it. Too long to explain.

    "Cannot" is a big word.

If Lewis never got a rematch with Rahman, would people be saying "Oh, Lewis cannot beat Rahman."?

    I don't think so.

Lewis did very well to rally and win on cuts, in a fight he was getting wiped out in. He demonstrated huge heart that some people said he didn't have (Vitali too, mind you) but any objective observer could see THAT version of Lewis was inferior to THAT version of Vitali, even though Lewis won. Prime vs prime - another story.

That fight enhanced both of their stocks in my view. They both showed a lot of guts and they both took some big shots quite well.

Naturally since this is Herol I am responding to, he will dismiss my post out of hand, but we all know his elephantine bias against anything starting with the letter 'k'.

Latest Italiy's interview on radio, which had a video-broadcast from the studio room, he says something like "People can see us? Look, I'm lifting my leg. Rolled... rolled socks... To make people work I've used everything, including... 'magical kicks'. I'm collecting proverbs, and one of them says 'If you want something done, do it yourself'". I doubt he has any idea in his mind what he's going to be speaking about in 10 seconds, he can't concentrate on one thing even for a short time.

he was not able to beat fat and old Lennox Lewis.

its not much bigger than TKO6, and that gives you trouble 11 years on.

I'm not waiting 11 years for you to not grasp it.

its a different circumstance, lewis was retiring. you cant just compare two completely different situations like that and pretend they are the same.

He had over 300 combat matches, kickboxing pro and am. Boxing pro and Am and sparred 1,000's or rounds.

It's obvious you are trying to make a political point ( Russia vs Ukraine ) and I have seen you state you felt ( Russian ) Ibragimov defeated Klitschko ( Ukraine ). That was a very odd score. Now I see why you had it that way.

I like your research and respect and greatly respect you here, but I'm not here to talk politics. World Politics to me has nothing to do with boxing. Ali#'s my #1, and he was rather racy.
