Always something to complain about. First everybody was saying its not fair because PBF is making JMM fight at 147. That rumor was debunked so now its not fair that JMM has to gain 8, and PBF only has to lose 4 pounds so that they can fight at 144 (which everybody thought was fair when they thought the fight was at 147).

I say **** catch weights in general. If I'm in a division and somebody wants me - come to my division. If I want somebody in a division - then I go to theirs. No catch weights - if the division limit is 147, then that's the limit.

I really would love to see JMM win, so I'm not just a biased PBF fan. I just love the sport and say **** the bull**** and excuses. If larger fighters didn't fight smaller guys who go up in weight, then smaller guys would never get the chance to move up and grow. Holifield would not have hit the heavyweights, DLH and SSM would never hit middle weights, and PAC would be nowhere near welter.

COme on EZE!!!! Its not so hard to understand, but I don't have all day to teach you. March 15, 2008: Marquez was fighting @ 130lbs. That was exactly 1 year ago. Then he did two fights at 135lbs. OF COURSE HE WON"T GAIN 17 LBS OF MUSCLES!!!!! Meaning he will be slower, and fighting against Floyd who will easily make 147lbs but come to fight in about 155lbs, he will get tired quickly. Floyd will be way too strong for him!!!! That its cherrypicking in my book. If people wants to pay to see Floyd do that, GOOD FOR FLOYD!!!! But we have to call things by their name.

You can gain muscle and not slow down.

On top of that, you have no clue what Floyd will come at fight night. He's never ever weighed 155 for a fight ever and he said he's stayed in shape. So it's best to assume he be south of 150 not 155. :patsch

    17lbs of muscle? :patsch:patsch:patsch:patsch

Let me ask you. How much weigh did Pac put on when he moved up to fight DLH?

OMFG You still don't understand the point!!! Last try. 147-130= 17. IT WONT BE MUSCLE. HE DOESN"T BELONG TO THAT WEIGHT!!! MEANING>>>>>>> HE WILL BE A SLOWER FIGHTER AND THE EXTRA WEIGHT WILL MAKE HIM GETS TIRED FASTER. PLUS, HE WILL BE GETTING HIT BE A BIGGER MAN!!!! COMPRENDE???????

IT'S LIKE ASKING FLOYD TO FIGHT HIS NEXT FIGHT AGAINST THE TOP 160-168LBS.

Mayweather has never come in above 149 on fight night; and Marquez will not have to sacrifice as much as you think. Instead of dehydrating himself to hit 130-135 during weigh-in, he can come in at a more natural weight and be on target for his fight with Floyd. Floyd is still naturally a little bigger, but that's the sport. It's the same if a 205 pound heavyweight fights a 240 pound heavyweight. They have to use their style to adjust for the size difference. A lot of fighters outweighed Tyson by a lot, and he still took most of them out.

:lol: you said 17lbs of muscle did you not?

Marquez weighs 141-144 on fight night. He could add a few lbs of muscle, keep his speed and maybe add power.

It's like asking Floyd to fight at 160-168? No it's not.

This will be Marquez 5th weight class. 160-168 would be Floyds 6th and 7th. :deal

Another thread was complaining the fight was confirmed at 147, which was not fair. Also, was not confirmed.

In this thread, if you're saying that the catchweight of 144 is not fair for JMM - then 147 sure as hell is not fair. How would 144 not be and 147 be?

However stating "everybody" was technically inaccurate.

Actually it would be more like if at the end of 2002 (after his second fight with Castillo) he went up to fight Mosley at 147 (assuming Mosley was still undefeated and hadn't lost to Vernon Forest twice by that time).

I believe to his credit (and I'm not certain how serious it was) I believe at this point in his career Floyd was actually calling for that fight (although not certain if it would have been at 147 since things never got that far). I'm sure some true blue PBF fans know the actual time span.

Tell you what though that hungry version of Floyd, I respect that a lot.

    147 wouldnt be fair either,i concur:good
You miss my initial point btw;One of my pet-hates is when people say 'everybody' instead of 'some','several','majority','many','most'... etc, etc.
Its misleading and wrong.'Everybody' is an absolute that makes it sound like were ALL saying the same thing, which is nonsense.
No i dont think im being pedantic either because there are loads of words to use that are more accurate than "everybody";thats one of the beauties of the English language.
