This has put the USA back on the same number of world champions as Japan with 9. They are further away from the UK's 12. Americans can take solace in the fact Bradley's vacated title will be contested between two undeserving Americans in Sadam Ali and Jessie Vargas however, and soon Scott Quigg and Carl Frampton will unify their titles. So they could get within 1 Champ.

However that may be fleeting glory as Anthony Joshua is currently targeting paper champion Charles Martin and will turn that paper into gold, Adrien Broner will have to have the judges in his back pocket to get by Ashley Theophane, but with Broner shaky mandible, a crunching left hook from Theophane could end matters inside schedule. Amir Khan has recently got himself a title fight, Stephen Smith will soon compete for one, Chris Eubank Jr is Daniel Jacobs mandatory and Callum Smith is fighting in a final eliminator and closing in on Badou Jack's title.

    As it stands:

1 world champion: Uzbekistan, Poland, Canada, Italy, Sweden, Kazakhstan, Venezuela, Nicaragua, South Africa

2 World Champions: Argentina, Germany, Cuba, Ukraine, Dominican Rep, Philippines

3 World Champion: Puerto Rico, Thailand

    5 World Champions: Russia

    7 World Champions: Mexico

    9 World Champion: USA, Japan

12 World Champions: Untied Kingdom :arran

Dude, this is no world cup. Nations don't take on each other. Individuals do. It's prize fight.

And more individuals from the UK have titles than any other nation. :nod

Remarkable when you consider the size of the UK compared to the likes of the USA who are granted for more opportunity, yet the small island produces the most world champions. It's flabbergasting!!

    It's flabbergasting?

The U.S. has nine champions. They had 12. But Andre Ward vacated. Tim Bradley vacated. Floyd Mayweather vacated.

All three of them (Ward, Bradley & Mayweather) will win titles again this year ... as will the Ali-Vargas winner, and the second Charlo brother ...

Meanwhile, the UK is about to drop to 11, when Quigg-Frampton fight in a few weeks.

It'll be the U.S. 14 and the UK 11 ... just like that.

So enjoy the fleeting "flabbergasting" moment in the spotlight. :hi:

Let me demolish this thread right now.

Saunders is a paper titlist and coward. He's irrelevant because he's afraid of taking the beating that Golovkin will give him.

Selby is a paper titlist and a coward. He's also irrelevant because he's afraid of Lomachenko and ran off to Gaymon.

Quigg's paper WBA title isn't worth anything. He's not a real champion.

Brook ducked Rios and hasn't fought anyone good since Porter.

-4 world titlists, Quigg's title is paper and the rest are subtracted due to cowardice, from your 12 count=8 world champions. America still pwns you, glass jawed Brit.

Yeah Fury was force to vacate one (that was picked up by a Yank), and Froch vacated two

Joshua will pick up Martin's paper title soon. Broner is in real danger of losing his to Theophane, Stephen Smith and Khan have title fights and Eubank Jr is mando for Jacobs and will shatter his glass jaw.

Wilder is also losing to Povetkin or vacating.

So the USA will end up with less than they have now, while the UK with more :hi:

    Google the following:

    What nationality is Carl Frampton

Let me know what it says at the very top of the page in crystal clear HD. Go to his boxrec. Let me know what flag he has next to his name :hi:

Let me demolish your retort right now

Wilder is a paper titlist who is running from Povetkin.

Jacobs is a paper titlist who is running from Golovkin

Charlo is a paper titlst who was given a title for beating a bum

Thurman is a paper titlist who is running from Brook

Garcia is a paper titlist who was given a title for beating a journeyman

    Broner :lol::lol::lol:

Crawford was given a title for beating a bum

Russell Jr was allowed to fight for a title coming off a schooling

Brook signed to fight Rios 4 times. Rios, despite agreeing to terms, didn't. Brook called his bluff

Selby has been waiting by his phone for a call from Lomachenko since he turned pro, yet none has come, nor has Loma ever dared speak his name

Saunders has advised Golovkin to come to England to the layer of the world champions, but GGG instead fought Wade

We can sit here all day and criticize and pick apart resumes, it's too easy. Hans is happy for country, congrats. Unfortunately that comes with his consistent hatred for yanks. Why does he hate yanks? Idk, he's clearly got a personal issue he's dealing with. Sounds like insecurity.

Anyway, my point is, and has been discussed before, titles don't hold as much weight anymore. These guys aren't fighting each other, wake me up when someone unifies.

Also, Hans opinion is void because he's a nationalist. The guy picked nothing but British fighters as FOTY for the past decade. He's sipping his own tea and feeding into UK media the same way some gullible people in the states do.

    I don't have to google Jack ****.

Hes from Ireland and is citizen of the UK.

Theres a reason why your Olympic team is called "Team Great Britain AND Northern Ireland

Britain is the name of the Island you live on.

Northern Ireland is not part of that island

The Union Jack is not the flag of Britan, its the flag of the UK.
