People have been constantly discrediting them. I’ll admit I too wasn’t totally convinced but I think last night has shown that the Charlo Bros are indeed the next elite boxing bros, along the lines of the Galaxy, Marquez, and Klitschko bros. Gotta give both guys the respect they deserve.

They’re both very well rounded fighters with a mean streak. Not unstoppable but they are indeed very tough to beat right now. I’m not sure if even GGG will have enough in the tank to beat Jermall at this stage.

They are both looking good but 154 does not have many elite fighters and the bigger Charlo is only a top middleweight by default as Canelo and Jacobs are no longer there. 38 year old GGG is still number one at middleweight though.

They’re good fighters. But Tony Harrison exposed Jermell’s boxing skills. He can look limited at times.

    If you consider....

Jermell getting a gift against Martirosyan, getting a gift against Austin Trout, legitimately losing to Willie Nelson/Jarrett Hurd KO victim Harrison, losing every round to John Jackson, and to Harrison in the rematch, before scoring a Wilder like come from behind KO, and losing every second of the fight with Rosario, that he wasn't dropping him in. And let's not forget him getting dropped by Bellamy.

And Jermall getting a gift against Austin Trout, getting a gift against Matt Korobov, getting a gift against Derevyanchenko, taking 7 rounds to get rid of a midget LMW in Dennis Hogan, taking 5 rounds to get rid of a one legged man in an ass kicking contest in Heiland, and going the distance with Brandon Adams, who was savagely KO'd by glass jawed John Thompson.

... evidence of someone being the real deal. Then fine, I guess they're the real deal.

Call me crazy though, when Pacquiao struggled in fights, he was ridiculed for it and called a hypejob. When Wilder waits for the perfect shot, while being dominated thoroughly, he's called a one trick pony who relies on his power. Or when GGG has a highly skilled war, he clearly wins, he's called a hypejob who relies on his power.

I was impressed by Jermall last weekend. I didn't think he won, though. I've not seen the Rosario fight yet, but I've read it was conclusive. But Chris is on the money, there's too many question marks about them to call them the real deal after one night.I wasn't high on Rosario anyway, and I didn't think Jermall beat Derev.

Add on the questionable decisions the pair have received over Vanes, Trout, Korobov &c; means it's hard to say they're the real deal, when they're clearly very protected.

But I was definitely impressed with Jermall's jab, counters, patience and timing. He showed he could do all of the above in a hard fight with an elite fighter.

Pacquiao lives in your head. This has nothing to do with him.

Rosario fight was weird..... Jermell throwing wide swings like a kid with a bad tantrum that took years of abuse

The Charlo bros are in a weird spot that doesn't make anyone happy:

Group A wants them to be the next best thing; to dominate as brothers in a manner rarely seen a la K-bros. This hasn't and will not pan out. The talent is simply not there. Getting repeatedly outboxed, taking L's, getting gifts - the Charlo bros continue to be luke warm when it's time to be dominant.

Group B wants them to be yet another PBC hype job who is born into the A-side and doesn't deserve any of the success they've had. This is equally off the mark. The Charlo bros are, in a word, solid. They attack pretty well, they defend pretty well, they have good chins, pretty good speed, above average pop. They are good all around fighters who will mix well in their divisions and give a good fight to anyone.

The Charlo bros are now 30. They're never going to be big stars because Group A and Group B will never be deeply intrigued by them. Their shot at generating huge hype was extinguished on December 22, 2018 when they both lost on the same night. They are what they are at this point.

Of course they're the real deal. I've said this for quite awhile.
