This is the overrating we are talking about in this thread!! ^^ What the hell are you talking about?!! .There is NOTHING ' very talented/ very gifted/ very solid' about either one of them.

Jermall got schooled by a past it inactive Matt Korobov who took the fight on short notice, and he should have lost to Trout. His resume is very weak.Jermell lost to freaking Tony Harrison! and should have lost to Trout. He also has a very weak resume.

Both of them are very mediocre, nothing special about them at all. They cherry pick probably because of this. they are mediocre champs or weak champs. Jermall is clearly not on the same level as Alvarez/ GGG/ Derevyanchenko. An I'd tip Israil Madrimov who's only had 5 fights to knock out Jermell Charlo pretty easily, Jermell has benefitted from a weak 154 division, but there's some killer young prospects coming up so it'll be interesting to see whether he vacates when the likes of Madrimov become mandatory.

You are a ****ing idiot. You can't even discern between talent and skill. It was a close fight no one got schooled unless they are a helmet wearing down's card holder. Korobov is one of the most underrated fighters of his generation and nobody is gonna walk all over him. It was only close because of Jermall's TALENT. His skills were badly overshadowed by Korobov's.

Tony Harrison would be a top10 p4p fighter if he had a half decent chin so what are you talking about? And Jermell knocked his ass out.

It's idiots like you that underrate them. Beat it you ****ing girl.

No doubt Korobov is talented, but he's also past his best, and he was also very inactive - he'd had just one fight in 2 years prior to taking the Charlo fight on short notice. It wasn't close Korobov schooled him 8-4 or 9-3. Canelo Alvarez would beat Korobov with ease, and that would show how far Charlo is away from the elite.

Do you even watch boxers from around the world or are the Charlos just your local heroes. Because it's very clear the charlos are very average - nothing special at all

haha Tony Harrison?! WOW surely that's a joke. Madrimov would knock out Jermell and Harrison on the same night.

I agree with the point. I tthink the Charlos are good but very overrated. Until they beat some big names they dont impress me. Canelo obliterates both and GGG still beats both although hes deteriorated enough that it could be a good fight.

Be honest what has Jermall done at 160. He got a boxing lesson from Matt Korobov, who came in as a late substitute hadnt fought in an age & had only trained for an 8 round undercard match. Korobov tired late in the fight & that let Mall win a couple of rounds back BUT Korobov STILL beat him. Matt would love a rematch but Jermall aint interested coz he know Matt would be in top shape & he'd likely get his ass handed to him AGAIN!!!

Perhaps Lil G might want to accommodate Jermall Charlo or Andrade contests he does not seem keen on. There is always Chris Eubank Jr.

I said in my post he doesn't have a defining win at 160 and isn't being ducked. I also thought Korborov won, so what was the point of quoting my post

I think they’re both good fighters but the LDBC overrates them and keeps insisting that Jermall in particular is the most avoided ducked fighter in the sport besides Ortiz lmao.

They are in a show me something phase

Though little charlo did stop Harrison which I thought was impressive I wasn't impressed by his overall performance and thought Harrison won fair and square the first time. I also have him as the dog vs hurd.. I think he has the natural ability and a good jab but has several areas to improve upon.

Big Charlo needs to beat a real contender at 160 and make himself known. He wants canelo he wants golovkin but they are in position for much bigger fights than him. If he were to go out and beat Andrade or Jacob's or derevchenko then I'd really be impressed. Right now hes calling out the big boys without putting in the work

I'm not sure I agree that Jermall is "overflowing" with speed. He is not slow, to be sure, but he's never struck me as having an overabundance of handspeed. 'Mall is a good---not great--- athlete.

Jermell, in my opinion, is the more explosive athlete and more physically gifted fighter.

    Good post, however.

Jermall does not deserve a GGG fight he's done nothing to deserve it at 160. Do the right thing & give Matt Korobov a rematch. If successful, which I doubt, then fight a ranked 160 pounder. Then maybe he could get the beating of a lifetime from GGG lol
