Both are world championship material, but neither is truly "elite". They have slightly different strengths & weaknesses but are both essentially highlighted by fast hands and very buttoned-down fundamentals. Both can chip away towards a highlight reel KO, but they are both capable of going into "cruising mode" and can be justly called boring at times. Both missing that extra something (the will to conquer, heart, the drive to find another gear, whatever you want to call it) - not as much as, say, Antwone Smith is missing it, but more than, say, Danny Jacobs is missing it. ...dunno if that makes any sense to you. :conf
I cant tell which is which as their names always get me confused. Theyre both good but i think Jermel could be a big player at mw as hes a huge jrmw and should be moving up soon. I like his aggression and he can punch. Would like to see him in with GGG at some point in the next 2 years.
Jermall is the heavier handed and more exciting of the two, and has the most potential. Jermell has faced and at times looked beatable against the better competition.
Good summary. They are both very talented with decent amateur careers. I expect they will migrate into the MW division to provide it with a much needed talent refresh. I wouldn't doubt that in the next 2-3 years one or the other is in position to challenge for Golovkin's MW titles. Light Middelweights I expect will migrate to 160 -Canelo -Lara -Both Charlos -Andrade -Julian Williams Of course Golovkin may be 36-38 years old by the time he meets one of them.
I cant even say who is who. One letter difference between twins is like trolling every person they meet.
On one hand you could blame his promotion, but from the interviews Ive seen, hes been at fault for a lot of the issues. He assumed that once he got his trinket/title that it would be all Cotto/Canelo/Mayweather fights from there on. Wasn't interested in staying active making mandatories or even taking stay busy fights. Word is, hes fighting Hatley next
