Mayweather beats Chavez at any weight.

I favor Mayweather to outpoint him. Chavez gives him a good fight but I don't think he has the style to beat Floyd.

Agreed with what is said here. Mayweather, is on another level.

True. Hopefully this stays in the classic though or it will turn into a hate thread with Chavez Snr by stoppage in round 1 being the consensus pick. :hey

Although this fight is likely to go to the cards, if anybody gets stopped it is definitely Mayweather. Chavez hits harder, has a better chin, and throws more than twice as many punches. Mayweather is not on another level than Chavez Senior at all. Chavez is, however, on another level than the very limited Arturo Gatti.

I would agree highly unlikely that Mayweather gets a KO.

Chavez at 140 was not as good as the 130 and 135 version. Also, the Roger Mayweather 140 lb title fight was one of Chavez's first fights at that weight. He had a much tougher time with Roger at 140 than he did at 130. Part of that was that Roger did take a better shot at 140, but I don't think Chavez was as fast or powerful at that weight either. Chavez didn't dent the weak Mayweather chin and basically outlasted and exausted Roger, who did take quite a bit of punishment to the body. Floyd took a better shot than Roger and had a little better defense. His legs were a bit better too, as he took far less punishment throughout his career than Roger. Floyd would box around Julio and would not let him outmuscle him on the inside. He would not allow Chavez to make an inside fight of it. I think Floyd would win a fairly close decision.

Chavez was at the all time great level, and an all time great at cutting off the ring.

Mayweather Jr will have to fight, his speed and elusiveness will see him through much of the fight, But He will be made to fight, Jose Castillo was not at the level of Chavez, and did not hit as hard. Most had him winning their first fight.

Chavez will beat on Mayweather like no other, and I think he even shakes him up around the 8th round. Mayweather Jr, wont get past it.

IF he does, and he might survive, he will be running and will definitely lose a Decision.

This fight will be tough for Chavez, but unless you could trade with him and had extremely good power, he would walk you down and destroy you. Mayweather has very little chance in this match up.

The Mayweather stoppage voter needs to explain himself. :nod
