could jake lamotta take a beating from foreman,louis,tyson,marciano,frazier.. without being knocked out by the count?
of course i think that he would be hurt seriously, he would be stoped, but i think that he would not be ko by the count. this guy was a rock

Robby stopped him only because he was weight drained, an admission Ray candidly admitted he was banking on. If Jake did not have to make weight, or was willing to have his title stripped at the scales in favor of a sixth non-title fight, they would have gone the distance yet again.

LaMotta did knock out a future top heavyweight puncher in Satterfield (who Robinson specifically mentioned not wanting any part of when he laughed off the idea of trying for the heavyweight title if he got by Maxim), but I think he would have had a rough time with pre Baroudi Charles or Moore. Actually, I have reservations about his wartime chances against an active Zale, who would have bypassed his chin in favor of a body attack. In his era, it was typical for amateur light heavyweights to graduate to the professional big boys. Jake went the opposite direction. He had some idea of his limitations. I don't think he was afraid, but he also wasn't stupid. I can't buy him defeating Conn, Lesnevich, Mills or Maxim for the title at 175.

 

LaMotta won't even stand up to Byrd's punches.

Sports Science measured Byrd's hardest punch at almost 1200lbs of force. The hardest-hitting Middleweight punch at a max of about 750-800.

Byrd's a feather-fisted heavyweight.
