    While the world watches the superfight main events on an almost weekly basis, there is little doubt that Las Vegas is still the fight capitol of the world. But, like every major city in the United States, Pittsburgh has a distinct boxing culture that is all its own. Many of the fighters that comprise the heart and soul of the region have never been on television, but a new crop of exciting young fighters are developing and with their success comes national attention. Below is a list of some of defining battles of the Pittsburgh region over the last decade. Some are familiar and some fallen between the cracks. It is because of these fighters that the "Steel City" may be once again known as "The City of Champions."
