    Where is Floyd Patterson in the Light Heavyweight poll? He was the #1 Light Heavyweight contender when he moved up.

    Ezzard Charles went 30-2 as a light heavyweight and became the #1 contender at 175.

    Patterson went 26-1 as a light heavyweight and became the #1 contender at 175.

    Neither challenged for the light heavyweight title but Floyd destroyed the light heavyweight champ Moore in a vacant heavyweight title fight.

    And Floyd won the heavyweight title two more times than Ezzard Charles did. He's rated on most pound-for-pound lists.

    Seems like a huge oversight. Floyd was as much a light heavy as Ezzard was.

    But, continue on.

    Most people don’t feel this way, and so wouldn’t feel it a huge oversight.

    Both fighters can be nominated for the HoF so it makes little difference.

    Sure it makes a difference. People act like Ezzard Charles went 100-0 at light heavyweight.

    Charles basically had as many fights as Patterson at the weight and earned the same ranking Patterson did at the weight and moved up like Patterson, only Floyd was heavyweight champion more times.

    You only added their WHOLE CAREER and Pound-for-Pound rating to INCLUDE so Ezzard Charles would be rated higher.

    But, using the criteria you designed for Charles, Patterson would probably end up higher on the list than Charles.

    That is an absurd and bizarre accusation.

    I understand you are currently having conversations about Patterson and Charles elsewhere on the forum that are difficult for you but that has absolutely nothing to do with this thread or this process.

    That the whole, rather work intensive process is just a facade to artificially inflate one fighter’s polling numbers in direct relation to arguments you’re having elsewhere is…a worrying conclusion.

    I mean I’m not even arguing with you in these other threads.

    Take it elsewhere.
