Mod's please don't move this etc etc.

This worked really well last time, and we were all equally right (or something).

What do you gents think, how will this one go?

This is th only fight that I haven't made a prediction on this close to the fight. For years I have said Floyd is unbeatable , but if anyone can beat him it is Hatton. The talk of the one dimensional thing is nonsense , the educated pressure Hatton employs is really good. Hatton needs to bury his head in Mayweather's chest , and use the circular movement stepping around his guy that he does so well. Haton has moved in and out before (though not against a boxer) , if he can do this against Floyd when/if Floyd buys into brawling with him , and then then he will baffle Floyd.

But Floyd can fight aswell , but I think he should not try to prove a point of this aganst Hatton , because when he gets going in battle mode his strength/speed/workrate and ferocity is brilliant.

My heart says Hatton, but my head says Mayweather, hope Im wrong. Hattons pressure gives him a chance ,but he didnt look too convincing at this weight last time,Mayweather hits abit harder than people realize,he shook Oscar a couple of times, one thing for sure Hatton will give it 100%,and make PBF work every minute of every round,I think it will be Mayweather by dec or late stoppage due to cuts,,probably Rickys eyebrows,Ill be in Phuket when its on ,so Im hoping to see it on a sat screen out there,Ill be rooting for my fellow country man ,not because he,s a Brit ,because he,s a nice guy ,the antithesis of PBF,who,s an arrogant little ****.

    Mayweather will win imo.

TKO by the 8 or 9th round imo. I be rooting for America.

I didnt even mention what happened against Collazo ! I dont think Hatton will have too much trouble performing at the weight , I think he will fight not at the welter limit but a little under , which wont really be a problem because Floyd is naturally lighter than welter anyway and his style is not a physically imposing one.

Floyd by unanimous decision, 3 or 4 point differential. He's not knocking out Hatton but I wouldn't be surprised if there's a knockdown by either fighter. Floyd's got superior defensive skills than Hatton and is the faster of the two fighters. Then again, Hatton doesn't have much defense because his defense is a really good offense. He's one of the better pressure fighters today.

Hatton weighed 160 in the ring for that fight,he says he will be 6 lbs lighter for this one.

If Hatton had any semblance of a defense, I may have thought differently, but since he doesn't, I think Floyd will catch him with just about everything he throws as Hatton wades in, looking to get on the inside. After a few rounds Hatton will be a tad more cautious about rushing in, and that will turn things in Floyd's favour as he uses his superior boxing skills to pick Hatton apart with just enough air needed to operate.

The first half of the fight should be close, and Floyd should distinguish himself in the second half. I'm expecting something like 8-4 Mayweather.

Would LOVE to be wrong though.

I have a horrible feeling Hatton's stamina is going to fail him in this fight

You have to favor Mayweather here. He has special skills. But I give Hatton a 35% chance of pulling off the upset. Mayweather has some trouble with aggressive types, and might have earned a draw with Castillo in the first fight.

Floyd has two flaws. Well really I think he has three flaws.

1 ) He rest on the ropes too much. This is where Oscar De La Hoya scored. Hatton's stamina is much better than De La Hoya's.

2 ) Floyd has to worry about is his hands. Hatton in my opinion has a “ hard head “. Floyd might have to be a bit conservative with his hands, and if a war breaks out, there is a chance Mayweather can be un-done due to sore hands, while Hatton ups Mayweather on the punch stats.

3 ) Guts/heart. Mayweather in my opinion is more of a great athlete than a gutsy fighter. I'm not sure if Mayweather likes getting hit. I've seen him crawl into his shell rather than engage in toe to toe confrontations. Hatton can force Mayweahter to fight.

I still like Maywather to win on points, 8 rounds to 4. Hatton to me is much better at 140 than 147, mostly because his power looks better at 140. The winner in this fight will have won a great prime vs prime legacy type of match. I hope for a clean fair in square contest from the fighters, referee, and judges. Boxing needs these type of fights.

I hope Mayweather can show some respect win, lose, or draw.

i've always thought mayweather and still do.sometimes i just can't make a case for hatton to win.however i'm making the assumption that hatton is coming in in the best shape of his life because the concern was that the phenomenal fitness and stamina he possesed had gone on the evidence of the collazo and urango fights.i'm tending to think now that hatton is going to give mayweather all the trouble he can handle.he will try to swarm floyd and get on his chest and if he comes in at angles and gets on the inside i just think his sheer ferocity and determination will make floyd have to work harder than he is comfortable with.on the down side for hatton even on the inside mayweather is no slouch, and how does ricky consistently land his stock punch the left hook to the liver with floyds unorthodox stance, leaning back to the right and looking over his left shoulder?if you take this punch away from ricky then his main weapon for wearing a man down is nullified.maybe he has worked on shifting to his right and working it on floyds slightly more exposed left hand lower body.i do think this will be a lot closer than people think but i have to go for the pretty boy by ud.
