    Azumah Nelson not being a candidate makes me weep….he should have been in the conversation at the very least

    Last fight in 2008 means he is not candidate until 2030!

    @McGrain:
    If Arguello appears as a Featherweight, will he also be available for induction as a junior lightweight?

    Am I ignoring all his other achievements and just taking into account his featherweight years?

    That's also in the rules in post one Jel.

    Whole career.

    If Arguello isn't inducted, he'll be available for selection at the in-between weights when we get there.

    But people need to be careful about who they nominate. The Classic HoF should be taken seriously. So far we've had people neglect to nomiate guys like Jimmy WIlde and Terry McGovern - probably to try to help squeeze a favourite in at slot seven. But if you don't vote for Jimmy WIlde you might not get Jimmy Wilde.

    My advice is always to vote for the seven people from the list who you feel is are most deserving of inclusion within the HoF.

    The temptation to leave out Armstrong and Canzeroni, in the expectation they'll be nominated at Welterweight and Lightweight respectively, in order to get in Dixon and Sanchez, was strong

    Yep, that’s what I was thinking. Arguello too.
