I'd heavily favour Foreman to beat Langford too. He was 9 inches taller and anything from 40-120lbs heavier during their respective careers.

I see you've conceded you dont know much about Langford, which explains why you rate Foreman as the p4p greater based on their entire careers. I'm not as knowledgeable on Langford as some posters are, but I've read Clay Moyles excellent and detailed biography on him and done a fair amount of other research, so I've got a reasonable grasp on his career. Which is why I rank him higher than Foreman, p4p

    John Sullivan (1879-1892)
    Jack Johnson (1897-1931)
    Sam Langford (1902 -1926)
    Harry Wills (1911-1932)
    Joe Louis (1934-1951)
    Rocky Marciano (1947-1955)
    Muhammad Ali (1960-1981)

Very difficult, could arguably swap Marciano for Foreman. Also wanted to include Jeffries, but can’t quite put him over any of the others.

Really don’t know how guys like Dempsey and Liston are getting any affection here. Like Ezzard Charles has a better HW resume?

    Charles's heavyweight run is underrated.

Charles and Holyfield are not nominated. Charles is nominated at LHW and Holyfield retired post 1999. Please select fighters from the list.

I can't believe there are almost no votes for Sullivan, he was the lineal champ for 10 years, gloved real champion for seven years and the first champ, only ever beat in his last fight. What more do you guys want?

Forgot about when Holy retired my bad. I didn't see he wasn't there and just went ahead with my list. Fixed it.

Wlad is not in the list. Lennox is not on the list. Please look at the list, with your eyes, and chose seven fighters from it.
