You're not being overly specific. Firstly who did he lose to in his prime who was a club fighter? let's start there. About losing to an ATG MW... Undeniably Emile had the better resume at 160lbs so he has that don't you think? Also he may not have beaten the GOAT 160lber yes but who would? but he did beat an ATG 160lber who was as good as the "Fab4" one about to win the LHW title. Twice. I'd rate that first win over Tiger higher then Hearns, Duran and Benitez, Tiger was a much bigger threat to me.

A very good list indeed, pretty much as I would have them, the inclusion of Lewis is both on point and worthy.

Oh I must have missed that rule. Why is that the rule? Do they only want old fighters on the lists?

If you've really read the OP you must have absored the request that you don't ask questions like that here, but rather in the master-thread I linked there for those dicussions.

But to state the blindingly obvious: this sub-forum is specifically about old fighters.

Aight bro I was just asking cause I was already talking to him. I’ll improve my reading skills and keep my curiosity on the master-thread.

I'm not sure I'd rank Mayweather in the top five even if he was allowed.

Based on fights at Welterweight alone, he wouldn't, imo. However, of those listed, only SRR, Walker and SRL rank higher p4p, imo and I'm no Mayweather fan.

I'd be okay with listing Ross, McLarnin, Britton, Napoles and Griffith higher than him. I wouldn't have Napoles higher, and probably not Griffith either, but I would the other three. As well as Leonard, Robinson and Walker.

I have Ross higher p4p too, but I dont think he was on the 20 listed. I have Mayweather higher p4p than the others you list, though accept credible arguments can be made for McLarnin and Britton being higher, depending on your criteria

My mistake, I seemed to have mixed Ross up and placed him at 147 instead of 135 for these things - although I'd argue he belongs at 147 more than 135, just via quantity of work there. But, I get your point. I have Mayweather at about 25-30 off the top of my head; Pacquiao too. If we start hypothetically making exceptions for Floyd and seeing where he'd go, it'd be strange not to also allown Pacquiao, who I'd have slightly higher as well. Regardless, even if Mayweather was allowed, I don't think he's a lock by any means.

It's not a slight on Floyd, just that 147 has been home to unbelievable talent; probably the most at the highest level, even if it isn't as 'deep' as 135 & 160.
