    Jack Dempsey, the Mauler hisself, finished eighth fo the second time - falls short of the Hall by just two votes.

    Maybe in twelve months he'll make it in. The gap after that was big, with the ninth placed fighters gaining just four votes apiece. It was seven of eight almost from the start.
