Has been taken off Youtube. The "when we meet down the line"etc........one. Now isnt that strange?:think Any thoughts as to why?(i have):?
Speaking of Mayweather. I just read that the reason the DLH rematch fell apart was because Mayweather demanded 30 million. DLH told him no and so Mayweather retired. There was also mention of him having bad money management. And that sooner, rather than later, he'd be back. I guess time will tell.
BBC article written by Gary Lockett. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A38859411?s_fromedit=1&s_type=15&s_sport=boxing
Are you serious? An article written by Gary Lockett? "When I stuck my nose into the conversation and asked what the score was these reporters told me of speculation that Mayweather had demanded $30 million for his proposed fight with Oscar De La Hoya and that De La Hoya had turned him down resulting in Floyd retiring." "A certain promoter then commented How long will that last? The way this kid goes through money hell be back within a year! I wonder who this certain promoter is? Bob Arum perhaps? I thought you had a credible source.
So now everyone is wrong and speculation is all about nothing. It's amazing how a joyboy will look at a quote and turn it on it's head just to ignore it. As I said, time will tell. I for one would not be the least bit surprised if the DLH rematch fell apart over money.
Ambition, the article was written by Gary Lockett. He said that reporters speculated that the fight fell apart because Floyd demanded $30 mill. Now this may very well have happened. However, reporters speculating at a fight is not very credible. It amounts to nothing but hearsay. If you don't realize this, than you're not as smart as I thought. As far as the part about money problems, that's not even hearsay. That's a former promoter taking a wild guess about the financial situation of former client that he can't stand. I thought you had a genuine article with somewhat credible sources, not an op-ed from Gary Lockett filled with gossip.
If it was concrete proof I would have said so. All I said was I read an article that said the DLH fell apart because of what Mayweather wanted. Ask yourself why they would even make up those figures or a plain reason as to why the fight didn't get made. It seems ridiculous as they have no motive for doing so. It isn't like Arum has a stake in Mayweather-DLH. So why would he care or even bother to make it up? Seems like joyboy paranoia to me.
Who said they made it up? When you're dealing with hearsay, facts tend to get twisted. I wouldn't be surprised if he did ask for $30 mill. However, the info. from that op-ed piece is useless.
