Walk him down. I dont see no other way Clottey can beat pac. He hasn't got a great jab, he isn't good at counter-punching, he's just real, real strong. He has to muscle Pac and punch in combinations. He's got to shock Pac into letting him know how strong he is.

He is a much better counterpuncher than Pac or Cotto. He is, in fact, one of the best in the WW Division.

And he does have a really good jab.

    Which fights were you watching?

i reckon rely on his chin be willing to take punches to land them and use his size to his advantage like morales did maybe frustrate pacquiao but the main thing is not to fall asleep like he did against cotto he has to keep a high work rate every round or pac will pounce i actually have a feeling clottey will cause and upset dunno why just have this feeling lol

Don't break your hand! He was winning the Margarito fight then as soon as he broke his hand things turned into Marg's favor. Not saying Clottey most definetly would've won had his hand not been broken because he does tend to not do enough in the later rounds and Marg is full of energy. Pac is an energizer bunny so Clottey can't afford to lay on the ropes he needs to up his workrate by fighting smart and throw precise punches. He can win but he has to show he wants it more which is hard because his opponent is Pacquiao.

I don't think any gameplan is going to matter. Clottey still doesn't have his trainer as far as I know, he's going to be very unfocused.

Gotta time him right to connect on the way in i dont think he can trap him due to inferior footwork and he cant keep him at range with a jab, he just has too hope and pray that he catches him solid on the way in IMO.

    Exactly what i was thinking.......

He needs to move his feet more and step back instead of try to catch every punch on his gloves then step back in with his good jab. He does need to work on his straight right. He has the worst iv ever seen. That would be a great weapon for him. Throw straight punches from outside kus Pac is not going to fight him on the inside. He wont pull that Cotto ****.... Use his reach.... Look at film of Winky vs Shane and Winky vs Taylor. And see how the Taylor fight could have been much easier if he would of just stepped back like he did in the later rounds...

    1. I said he hasn't got a 'great' jab
    2. You think he's one of the best counter punchers in WW? :huh Go away.

What I'm trying to say is what he has wont be enough to beat Pac. His major advantage is his strength, which is what he will need to use to beat him.

He needs to mow him down. Get in close early, push Pac back and keep punching hard. No point in playing a tactical fight as Clottey hasn't shown the ability to keep moving and confuse Pac. Clottey is also the larger man on paper by some distance but God only knows what Pac will look like come fight night...must be something in the water he's drinking!
