round 7 8 and 9 are terrible bias. Actually the hole fight. Without the KO, the fight is a close fight, that tayolor maybe edged with more shots landed, but no doubt taylor landed the harder blows, especially in the final 6 rounds.. HBO gave Taylor nearly every round. if you ever want proof of HBO Bias, this is it.
The whole crew was defiant with silence when Taylor went down. Finally Merchant was able to muster up, "if he gets up, he wins the fight." LOL! The truth is Chavez was landing much heavier shots throughout. For HBO to ignore and talk over Chavez work was insane, but it goes to show just how powerful commentary can be to the uneducated. HBO brainwashed a viewing audience into believing Taylor had dominated a fight in which his face and internal organs recieved a tremendous ammount of punishment. At the hospital, doctors voiced that Taylor's condition was the worst they had seen of a fighter that was concious when brought in. BTW, HBO got alot of fanmail and some of the better boxing beat writers criticized their call of the fight. So much was the backlash that Jim Lampley voiced he was forced to go back and rewatch the fight on tape for himself. In a TV interview Lampley said that although he still felt Taylor was ahead, he and the crew may have subconciously ignored some of the heavier shots Chavez was landing in favor of the more flashier Taylor. We all know it was'nt sub counciously though. Its been proven throughout the years they have a pre-agenda that they aim to follow that favors their house fighters.
:nutRay Leonard was actually the worst. Through 11 rounds, he had'nt given Chavez a single ****ing round! :huh:nut
