I haven't read this ,but, when Burns finally consented to meet Johnson ,Lynch stated Burns would win, because of his superior in fighting ability . Does that help as a guide?
I'm about 30 pages in to it. Apparently there are print versions and a free version online on google books. I've been chipping away at the online version (which is DL'able as a PDF) and it's straight forward information much like Edwin Haislet's manual on boxing. It's a traditional stance on understanding the sport of boxing through history and development of styles over time (Haislet). Compared to Lynch's book, from the time I was able to scan ahead in "The Complete Boxer" it appears even more indepth then Haislet's book. There's a lot of breakdown on past styles and functionality of the boxer during that era. Still very interesting.
There are actually some pretty instances in the book of "negroes and whites should not fight. they are built differently. it is unnatural" :rofl
