Big Bad Billy The Superb One™ Saunders will be fighting rugged Artur Akakov, in the great boxing venue Lagoon leisure centre. It will be a thorough schooling by the Superb One™ and a good tune up for any opponent going into 2017.

Never heard of the guy he is fighting, but BJS needs to make a statement in this one...

As a boxer I think BJS is very exciting to watch, has amazing skill and up until Lee was very impressive, his inactivity has been bordering on Tyson Fury tackle though of late.

What a fight this promises to be, the undefeated BJS putting it all on the line against the storied Artur Akakov, who only has one loss on his record which is highly disputable. I can't pick a winner, it's a fight worthy of headlining any PPV card. If BJS is able to negotiate his way through this tough bout, it'll definitely stand him in good stead for Golovkin next year.

Sure, but why'd you only put Saunders third in that group?

You put him 2nd? I'm reluctant to do that until I see how he navigates the deep waters of Akakov

He has to get him out of there. I hope he doesn't waste time after that and takes care of his mandatory Khurtsidze in march.

Golovkin has been trying to get Saunders into a ring for a long time now, if he does he will knock Saunders out!!!

What you guys don't seem to realize is there are 2 separate rankings in te 160 pound middleweight list

    1 .... Gennady GGG Golovkin

2 .... The rest of the so called 160 pound elite

Bottom line there is no 160 pounder has a prayer against him

Will he actually fight this time then? And wasn't his mandatory long overdue already?
