The Contender - Australia

For the fighters left on the show it made sense not to bring back someone like Junior who would beat most of the guys there. It was a weak move, but understandable. There is alot riding on winning this show.

Mad props to Kariz and Josh Clenshaw, voting for Junior. They showed real honor to the sport, and weren't just thinking about how it would affect their chances. I'm rooting for them now.

Nader and Oganov are chumps for voting Israel Kani back instead of Junior.

Nader called this guy out all time he was there, said he wanted to test himself against the two Australian Champions. He knew Junior was beating Victor, he said it many times during the fight. He knows he was robbed.

He should have voted Junior back if he wasn't just talk. And If not Junior he should've atleast voted for Les, who he was gifted the benefit of the doubt against in a close decision. Instead he chose Kani.

Oganov too if he was an honorable fighter, as he tries to act hard like on the show, would've wanted Junior back in the hope of fighting him again to prove he could actually beat him without the help of judges. But no, he made the weakest choice also.

I hope those guys get smashed next round for those ***** moves.

 

Anyway, did anyone else notice the major blunder they made with the subtitles when Jungle Boy was speaking to Sugar Ray Leonard?

Sonni said his style has a little bid of Sugar Ray, "Hands of Stone" Roberto Duran, Marvin Hagler and Thomas Hearns.

The subtitles instead of Hearns read the mighty Thomas Meade! LOL Anyone ever heard of Thomas Meade?

He must've been a little known member of the Fab Four, like the Fifth Beatle. Bloody embarrassing.

It's not so much about comparing Medley to Pac. Any top 15 welterweight would have walked through Oscar that night.

I'm equally as suspicious that Mundine will not make weight. A catch weight agreement would not surprise me.

I have to say that this contender series is a huge step up from the let down that was The Contender 4

 

i will not be paying for it out of principle, thats mundine knowing his ppvs arent selling

 

I understand that the final will be shown at the usual time on Fox8 with those subscribing to main event also receiving the Mundine fight.

 

LOL, I noticed that too.!I was like wtf? mistake in the subtitles..
Oh and we shouldn't say subtitles,just implies they speak a foreign language.
I wonder if the african fighters get offended knowing that what they are saying is being written since it is difficult to understand them.

I agree with fighting pride.
Nader was talking it up about fighting Junior, yet he votes for Kani.what a hypocrite.

Lastly, I think the show is awesome..I can't believe some people knock it on here..
It's a top quality show, with good drama.
