The Contender - Where are they now?

Gomez is fighting Cotto.

Mora turned down a fight with Taylor for some reason.

Manfredo lost to Calzaghe and Lacy.

 

Manfredo has been keeping his name out there. He just fought Lacy on the undercard of Mayweather/Hatton. Boring as all hell though..:tired

 

Miguel Espino has been fighting on a consistent basis and is supposedly has improved since the show. I haven't seen any of his fights, this is just based off articles I have read on Max Boxing.

 

Cornelius "K-9" Bundrage has had mixed success since his Contender stint but has been active. He fought four times in 2007.

 

I've heard Ishe Smith is supposed to be fighting soon.

 

he is also fighting kasim ouma early this year

 

Bika's fighting Andrade. Of course he's not your average Conteder guy, he made a name before he went in there to slug it to the end.

 

Forbes maybe ona p4p thing is the best fighter they have come out with, maybe costing him being involved with it.

The better guys like Bika, Manfredo, Mora, Forbes, and the like will continue to get big money fights, while the lesser guys will probably go back to the "ham and egg" circuit or maybe get a gig or two as an opponent for prospects.
