The Cotto from Quintana fight or Cotto from the Foreman fight, Which Cotto is better?

That's the issue...stance, balance, punching form, footwork, were somewhat flawed before, but these flaws were exasperated under the lack of a proper trainer overseeing his preparation. I have no doubt Cotto would do better in a rematch, because he'd use more educated pressure and better lateral movement. Again, I give Pac lots of credit, but Cotto's camp made their job a lot easier by ignoring the fundamentals that could have brought him much more success. Psychology may have been a factor as well, but that's another factor that Cotto before Margarito 1 or after Margarito 2 could easily challenge.

 

Quintana obviously. We have 7 people saying he looked great beating a one legged jew which means he was in better form that night :roll:

 

Fair enough .. with a better gameplan he might have done better, but you can't totally change a fighters style. Even with some technical improvements Cotto would have ultimately suffered the same fate ,imo .

 

I think his best fight ever was the Margarito II fight. I don't know how that will translate against Floyd.

I'm slowly becoming interested in this fight.
