I'm going on the record and saying that on November 14th, we will see the old Miguel Cotto - the one that fought Mosley. I admit he did not look quite the same in his rebound fights - but that won't be the case.

When he talks, there's just something different about him now. You can see the confidence beaming from his eyes, and he is working his ass off for this one. Douglas showed us what determination can do.

If you disagree, just look at his pix and interviews - all you'll see is confidence and determination; while Manny is filming and talking politics.

Mark my words - Cotto by KO. :bbb

Bull****. Not gonna happen - Pac's own trainer doesn't even think they can KO Cotto. All he's (Roach) been talking about is how good Cotto is.

Pac's best chance is to go for a decision (not exactly a career ending strategy); but it won't happen. Cotto is too strong and too sharp. Cotto is going to Ricky Hatton little Pac.

One of the attributes Cotto is most known for is his timing. That is how he was able to neutralize Mosley's speed. Pac will beat him to the punch very early, but once Cotto pinpoints his timing, he will catch Pac with some devestating punches coming in. Cotto can take a punch, so to say he'll hit the canvas is pretty ballsy. We know Cotto can handle heavy punches from strong WWs; but Pac won't be able to. This will be the first time he feels strong WW power. If he was hurt by flyweight punches, imagine what a WW punch will do to him.

You're trippin if you think Cotto won't land punches. I want you to remember this conversation on November 14th when everybody is talking about how Pac's reign as P4P king was nothing more than hype.

Pac's power couldn't even KO a dehydrated DLH who had been hit with everything Pac threw (he quit, but never hit the canvas). That's because Pac's punches were not as hard when hitting a big WW. As for Hatton, he was coming off of a KO loss to FMJ, and was not a WW. This will be Pac's true test against a WW. Cotto will be able to withstand Pacs punches like DLH, but unlike DLH, Cotto will be able to land.

I'm putting my $ on Cotto, MP is a very good but I'm not buying the hype. You have boxing fans putting a cape on him thinking he's indestructible you're being set up. See you the day after the fight I'll be counting my $$$$$!:good

Underestimate Cotto all you want. He's knocking Manny's punk ass out.

True, but remember that, Roach is not the one fighting Cotto; it would Manny "Pacman" Pacquaio. Hopefully, Pacquiao is ready because Cotto is no push over.

Nope - after seeing Hatton stopped by Floyd while he (Floyd) was stepping back, I thought Pac would be too much for Hatton. Didn't think he would KO him the way he did though; thought it would take longer or go to cards.

So Shane wasn't too much for him, but Pac is. You are all really blinded by the Pac hype. Really think about some of the things previously posted in this thread. Consider Cotto's confidence; consider how the only other WW to face Pac handled his power; consider that Pac has been hurt by small fighters (flyweights); consider how he's never felt true WW power; consider that Cotto has the ability to connect; consider that Cotto will be big enough to walk Pac down, trap him, and unload. I don't see how so many can say Pac is going to KO/destroy/demolish Cotto - this will be his 2nd WW fight. You all better be on here the night of the fight when Pac gets smashed on. You will see that Pac's last couple of fights have been strategically chosen to hype Pac up, but this time, they chose poorly. Roach has already realized it, and on Nov 14th, you all will too.

The Cotto that fought Mosley? You mean the one who was running away during the 2nd half of the fight? You really consider that version of Cotto his best? I sure don't. In fact, one can make a valid argument for Mosley in that fight.

That's exactly how I feel too. I have never seen him so focused - he's been training for weeks already, he's very confident, he's got more power than Manny's ever felt, he's got admirable timing. I think Pac fans are going to be damn shocked on fight night - those who think Cotto's prime is done will be astonished. This will be the best Cotto performance we've seen. He's determined to give it his best, and I believe he will.

No - the one who took away Mosley's speed and power.

And not this again, funny how people started saying that after Golden Boy pumped that into the media. I don't see how anybody could have scored it for Mosely. And it's not like I'm some die hard Cotto fight - I picked Clottey to beat him. I just see something in him this time - he's gonna come out better than ever.
