I fu@kin love them. I think Even someone who don't watch boxing would have to watch the fight after watching a Countdown to..... show. Can't wait fo HBO's 24/7 for Hatton-Mayweather.
Have to give to HBO - they do a pretty good job of promoting their fights. It's not TV - it's HBO. #1 in the Boxing Network.
I love them so much it's not even funny. Actually, i watch replays of it too many times for my own good. I think i've watched the Hopkins/Taylor Countdown about 20 times. And i'm being dead serious.
Who DOESN'T love these really? They are so great. Wish they did one for Calzaghe - Kessler. I think it would have been really interesting. At least they did the stories on them before the fight though.
i wont even lie. watching these shows get's me motivated to workout. if i'm not up to working out, i'll watch the countdown before i go to the gym.
I got a feeling that Hatton-Mayweather 24/7 is going to quite intersting. Both seem to have the gift for gab. I feel Mayweather and his family was the only reason to watch the first 24/7 Oscar really did not contribute nothing
Yeah thse countdown shows are a great way to get fans hyped for the fight. I love them as well, the Cotto v Mosley one was good
th Cotto-Mosley one is quality, great premise, attention grabbing intro, good journalism (objective analysis showing Cotto's troubles, Mosley's losses and steroid problems), overall a great piece of work.
I really liked the Hopkins/Wright preview. It was a bit different from the other ones. I really liked some of the music in it.
SAME **** I WAS THINKING...it's like, if you never seen these 2 before, this show pretty much covered all you need to know about them..... i love these shows too....especially after a big fight, it makes it even better to sit around and drink more and more and more and more...:yep
HBO does an outstanding job with these. Well-filmed, well edited, and overall, a great tool for plugging/hyping upcoming bouts.
They're great, like mini-24/7s. It's great that HBO is doing these with all their big fights now, not just the mega PPVs like before.
