-the hoost thing: dont compare silva to hoost, just dont! this he beat him so he couldnt beat him **** is utter crap and the talk of a 4 year old,but il induge you on your level, bonjasky beat hoost and so did aerts (in fact aerts schooled a prime hoost to win a very wide UD) yet crocop beat em both! it proves nothing, now i am only using your logic here not mine to get a point across because you understand little else,i say again dont compare silva to hoost. SD/UD anderson silva lost to ryo chonan and takasi in pride for feck sake, how on earth do you think he'd stand a chance against a prime crocop???
By ko ala Randleman & Gabe, or decision like Fedor, Hunt and Kongo. Cro Cop was a machine but no invincable
did i say he was? the kongo fight means nothing to me,apart from the ball bashing it is clear to anyone with a head that crocop was not the fighter he was. the argument here is who would win prime for prime,my answer is its a no brainer crocop was a far superior striker, miss match IMO LOSING TO THE GREATEST HEAVYWEIGHT EVER IN THERE RESPECTIVE PRIMES OR LOSING TO HUNT IN A DEBATEABLE FIGHT PROVES WHAT?THE RANDLEMAN LOSS WAS AVENGED IN STYLE,ANYONE CAN GET TAGGED AS HE DID,OF COURSE HE WAS NOT INVINCIBLE BUT HE WAS QUITE A SPECIAL FIGHTER IN HIS PRIME,BARNETT,VOVCHANCYN,COLEMAN,ALEX EMELIANENKO,HUNT,WANDY,RANDLEMAN,BONJASKY,AERTS,SAKURABA ETC COMPARED TO FRANKLIN,LEBEN,GRIFFIN AND AN OLD HENDERSON !! UMMHHHHH
Nope, and I didnt say you did either. I was just highlighting Cro Cops losses in a similar way that you did with Silva. + You could say that Silva is not the same fighter that lost to ryo chonan and takasi in pride either. The door swings both ways. And if the great striker in Randleroid can Ko Cro Cop (I do agree that he was caught cold and proved he was the better fighter in the rematch no doubt) then Anderson has more of a chance. You got to agree that its more likely for Anderson to win by ko than Cro Cop pulling off a Flying Scissor Heel Hook. Thats why Im undecided on the outcome on this myself
50/50 suggests that if they fought 10 times Silva would win 5 of them which is nuts. Cro Cop is a better striker, is bigger and also has great take down defense, even if it went to the ground he has only been submitted by Nog who is on a different planet in terms of submissions.
I dont go for that type of statement myself. Im goin on the basis that if they fought once then either man has the ability to win. He does indeed have a fantastic sprawl, but why would Silva go for the takedown? I dont recall him doin it once (I may be wrong but it is very rare) I agree Cro Cop is a fantastic striker (who wouldnt) but where he has the edge in power no doubt, Silva's speed and movement would cause him trouble imo. Cro Cops style is to stalk then unleash a lightening fast strike ala the LH kick against Igor or the left straight in Wandy 2, which was more of a fight winner than the ko blow imo. And if he caught Silva with one of them it is concieveably game over. But would he be able to catch Silva whos angles and side to side movement & counters are both quick and accurate? I think this fight could be a kinda Ali v Liston affair if you see my point. Thats why Im undecided
Cro Cop is one of the few people who I think could have made a relatively succesful cross over into boxing. I'm sure the hardcore boxing fans will never admit it, but someone like Cro Cop could easily compete with the majority of the todays HW. He wouldn't have the size to contend with the Klitschkos, but even without his best weapon (high left kick?) his hands are remarkable for someone who also trains other areas of the fighting game.
Leg kicks, would slow Silva down. Then if he was in range he could get decimated. Mirko fighting a guy that plays to his strengths and is in range and is smaller. I only see one outcome.
Lets say a PRIME Cro Cop is the version who won the OW Grand Prix, weighed in at 223, hardly a Lesnar type monster considering Anderson is rumoured to walk round at 220 himself when fighting at LHW. Considering your point though, perhaps this would be the battle of the leg kicks. Again would the relatively static and flat footed (In terms of movement not kicks) Mirko catch Silva? He's not going to stand infront of him and trade like Wandy and Igor did is he?
silva has great hands, but crocop was the complete package, those leg kicks at full pace were something to behold..... lands one of them babies on silva and its all over.
