Only because there's no money in the cruiser division. People should learn to accept the cruiser division.
Fights Chambers vs Lebedev Chakhkiev vs Wlodarczyk YPH vs more top CW's. I had Ross winning against him. Alekseev, Masternak,Ross, Chakhkiev are the highest rated quality CW's in the IBF in that order. Alekseev vs Huck - Sasha is #2 in WBO and Huck trash talked him after Alekseev got a draw against Arslan (which he won in a close fight) then went on to lose to Arslan himself (winning via robbery) Masternak and Drozd against someone decent they need to be tested already. A fight against eachother would be good. Prospects 1) Rakhim Chakhkiev 2) Dmytro Kucher 3) Yago Kiladze 4) Mateusz Masternak 5) Krzysztof Glowacki (not the guy who fought RJJ, people get them confused) 6) Isa Akberbayev - Probably top 4 but is earlier in his career than the rest
I really like the look of this guy, he's fighting on the Golovkin undercard - cannot wait! He needs to be more active.
Eddie Chambers vs. Denis Lebedev. Ola Afolabi vs. Marco Huck III. Troy Ross vs. Yoan Pablo Hernandez II. Firat Arslan vs. Antonio Tarver. Rakhim Chakhkiev vs. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk.
Didn't know that and at MSG awesome! I think he is with a promotional company named Nelson from Florida who iv never heard of. I just hope they have the ability to get him fights like he needs. He has similar size and skill set as Kiladze, im fans of both. Only has 10 fights but he has 2 fringe titles so hopefully that will ensure that he'll get fights.
Hard to say, as it's been a long time since Fields has been in a televised fight. A number of years ago he built up steam as a prospect, and then he got KOed by (then unknown and lightly regarded) Ola Afolabi, who he outboxed for the first half of the fight before running out of gas. He has decent handspeed and power and is pretty slick, but as noted the endurance and the chin are question marks. It's also a question whether he's any better now than he was 5 years ago when he lost to Afolabi. Considering he's still never fought a 12 round bout, I'd guess his best chance is to knock out YPH early, which I guess is possible as it's happened before. He's not a massive puncher though, more of a swarmer.
disagree........ Some of best fights from last year were cruiserweight fights.. As for fights i'd like to see... Huck-Afolabi 3 Lebedev-Chambers Masternak-Licina YPH-Ross 2 Guillermo vs. anybody at this point of his career.... Prospects/Emerging contenders to watch: Masternak Garrett Wilson of Philly Brad Pitt, lol Yunier Dorticos
I know that you're just kidding but more people follow Cruisers than you think. If we used ratings/attendance to determine whether or not a weight class should exist, there would be no professional boxing below 126 and we'd routinely see 190 lb heavyweights getting manhandled.
I'm not hating but CW is a much more needed division than some of the really low ones. CW has interesting fights and having the HW divison right after the LHW division would be dumb. ANd even thoug I will probably get hated for this by some fans of the low divisons, there are too many low divisions most boxers fighting there are anyway moving up in weight a few times and the weight differences per divison are jsut too small I realize that a few lbs make more differnce if the guys are smaller but there are still too many low divisons especially since there are already a million belts.
Kayode will get decimated at HW. He has too many holes in his defense, and yet he likes to engage his oppnent hard, to really bring it. Bad combination. The top HW's will hurt him much worse than he thinks when he drops his guard. Also, the best HW's are a lot harder to KO than the best CW's, so Kayode will have to engage for longer periods of time, getting frustrated & leaving himself open even more. Imagine Kayode against even a mid-level, but powerful HW, like Mago or Dinu? Good night, sweet prince. He'll be back to CW soon, unless he can no longer make the weight.
