Why is everyone obsessed with power?

    Its about the overall package.

It's not about power, it's about technique. Jackson would hit like he's hitting a boxing vending machine, Lemieux hit with wide swings, that's why they inflicted more damage with one punch but also both are/were too predictable and open to counters. That's the difference.

As big of a fan as I am, I think GGG"s power is a bit overrated. Some of these guys he is stopping aren't being KO'd cold ala Ishida. Most of them are basically TKO'd, usually by ref stoppage and usually on account of them simply not wanting any more (Geale/Rubio/Monroe). GGG has to be given credit for them choosing the easy way out over more punishment, but it does not mean he has the power to ICE you unconscious with both hands.

Ishida was a rare occasion when GGG put most of his weight into the punch. Usually he never fully commits into his punches which allows him to keep balance and orientation.

Golovkin himself is saying: "it is not about power, it is about timing".

I think he has the ability to do that. He just chooses to be methodical and patient about his beatdowns. He's shown he does have the ability to put opponents down and for good with 1 punch.

The record says otherwise. Rubio is just one fighter anyway, he also KO'd the other guys.

THese idiot haters saying GGG can't KO his opponent clean
should just be ignored. GGG has plenty of 1 punch fight enders.
He just isn't scoring alot of clean KO's because his opponents
aren't coming at him and are on the back foot. He has better
one punch power p4p than Canelo does. Imagine if ginger's
opponents ran from him all night ala Lara. He'd never score
another stoppage again. I'm 10000000000000% sure Lara would
be stopped by GGG aside from what his inbreeding detractors say.

Perhaps you should ask Cotto and to why he refused to fight his mandatory Golovkin, instead he is to pay step-aside money so he can fight Alvarez.........now Golovkin is the mandatory for the winner of Cotto/Alvarez, watch the winner refuse to fight Golovkin, either one will give up their title rather than fight Golovkin...........

Well Cotto/Canelo is a huge money fight and I dunno if I'd really call it an outright duck. But if the winner refuses to fight GGG who is the mandatory, THAT is an outright duck.
