Sad, but that type of **** was going on when I was a kid fighting as an amateur in the mid to late 80's. Were kids from one club would go to another club and "SPAR" As a kid I recall money changing hands, but as I kid didnt think much of it...

I doubt it will be banned, but it will be changed and likely not for the better.. Cali needs to clean that **** up.

Whats crazy is a friend of mine another trainer here in Southern cal, offered me to have my son fight in one of these "Private" shows, and the winner would get 400.00 dollars and a trophie, I didnt like the sound of it so we didnt go, and I am glad we didnt.

 

If the CSAC has banned it, does this mean amatuer boxing is automatically guity of something then?

Not amatuer boxing as a whole but there are tons of trainers out here who do gamble on their kids fights, I have been approached several times with offers, but declined all of them, these ****ers would bring their rent money for god sakes. :verysad
