The Cubans have arrived, is anyone surprised?

The more the merrier.

 

Only thing I am surprised at is how bad their Chins are without the Head Gear on. Most Cuban fighters have Glass Jaws.

 

I'm just surprised it didn't happen earlier. Maybe because there wasn't as many Cuban trainers like their are now who understand the Cuban fighting system to help better transition these fighters into a more effective Pro fighting style.

These Cuban fighters need to start defecting at a younger age.

Rigondeaux is the best Cuban boxer ever and Donaire will show the World why he's better than him come Saturday night.

 

I am glad more cubans are starting to do well in the pros. The more countries the better.

Cuba is great right now. No US, UK, Japan, Philippines, Mexico... but up on the level and probably slightly above Thailand and South Africa. Good stuff.

Loads of great prospects coming up from Cuba. Erislandy Savón is the amateur, along with Ramirez, who I most want to see take the boat to the US. Great talents who could be stars as pro's.

 

After Donaire KO's Rigondeaux, the next best Cuban boxer is 50 Cent's Gamboa. If 50 Cent's Gamboa can make 126 I want to see that fight next but if not, then @ 128 catch weight or 130 will suffice for 2014.

Surprised? Of course not. If even the great Nacho Beristein enjoys watching the great Olympians display their technical proficiency it's for a reason. I don't believe having Olympic success always translates to professional success, but it is a valuable to have. That's why many Cubanos seem to be very confident because of their past success. I believe no matter your background it's never too late to stop learning. But if you act like you already know everything and peacock your skills or achievements that aren't on the professional level, you may run into some problems. I like this batch, esp the body punching of Rigo, but he seems alittle too overconfident at times. Nonito is his first real test and props to Rigo for taking on such a monumental task. Props to both actually.

 

Not sure if your ******ed, Gamboa is making weight healthy at 135. And lets say if they fought at 132 on a CW Gamboa would totally smash Nonito
