Kid Gavilán " the Cuban hawk " had possibly the greatest Chin of all times. In more than 140 pro fights Gavilán was never KO'd not even knocked downed! Casamayor also had great whiskers, so did Ramon Garbey, Eliecer Castillo and others. Having a great or bad chin has nothing to do with nationality or race it's mainly a personal attribute that people are born with.

While wearing a headgear does help absorb a punch there are many KO's in the amateurs too. Most Cubans come from the amateur program and have been boxing with headgear all of their lives so when they box without it it does make it harder but it's like I said, some have it while others don't.

I am sorry but Cuba is above PR at the moment and you do realize that your list of Cubans is from only a small group that have escaped the Island right???

What would happen if ALL OF THEM come over here ???

p4p the best boxnation ever is easily cuba, I mean that island is ****ign small and yet they produce so many top level boxer, imagine cuba as big as huge population as usa, they would be 10 gamboa's or 10 rigo's around, they would totaly dominate boxing.

Pacquiao is an ATG and IMHO the #1 Fighter in the history of boxing, his accomplishments are too many to name. Donaire is on his way to becoming an ATG great as well after he beats Rigondeaux. Viloria is P4P one of the best ever at the lower divisions, Denver Cuello, Donnie Nietes, Johnriel Casimero, Sylvester Lopez are all current title holders and Mercito Gesta is an up and coming future star in the world of boxing. I might have missed a few, too many to type.

He represents the Philippines on the professional level and rightfully so because he was born in the Philippines and didn't come over to the USA until later in life.
