I'm pretty sure Wayne Rooney wouldn't be a good boxer. Same goes for Ronaldinho and Ronaldo

 

Rooney actually does box... and I believe he was rather good at it too

 

He was an excellent junior boxer.

However thats beside the point, my point was that we always hear about how all the american heavies are playing NFL or NBA. That maybe true, who knows?! But if it is a true theory then it must also be true that many great WW, MW, LHW must be playing the worlds most popular sport. Purely from a numbers perspective its actually alot more likely that potential champions are playing 'soccer' around the world than playing basketball and/or american football.

 

Rooneys uglier then Froch and Hatton combined. He'd probably be a decent boxer.

Never accumulated a notable victory. Got knocked out by Ruiz Jr. on the Chinese Pac/Rios PPV undercard and then lost again in his next fight; a MD to Derric Rossy.

Wayne Rooney was actually a talented amatuer boxer in his youth before concentrating on football and he comes from an Irish traveller background so he probebly grew up around boxing

The promoters need to make more meaningful fights though, putting top 50 guys against other top 50 guys.

Brazeale is getting into fighting shape and looks better each time out.

Martin and Washington both seem to have the goods, but age may be a factor in their careers.
Wilder is a fearsome puncher, but a guy who aint afraid, aint gonna lie down, and we all have seen the footage of him rocked by rangefinders and dropped by garbagemen.
YES......Jennings is legit. But what's his peak. Fedosov was taking it to him til he was caught. Jennings has caught everyone with that game changing UC.....but a guy like Pulev.....he aint walking into that...neither is Potvetkin or even Dimitrenko for that matter.

It's good to be HW fightfan overall as there are great fighters emerging from every part of the planet. But as an american, Im laying my hopes on Jennings and Brazeale.:good:good:good
