The cut on the eye of Vitali Klitschko

    How did Lewis open such a big cut? A) no Vaseline 2) I think Manny the great steward said it could have possibly been the laces brushing past the eyelid. 3) an illegal punch?

    If Vitali was allowed to continue I believe his vision could have been permanently damaged by that cut. After the fight he was jumping around protesting the fight being stopped early, but Canuck Russ amber said that was all for show. Was there anyone, anyone who had Vitali winning this fight? I guess Lewis just didn't have anything left for a rematch. Call it a gift decision call it what you want but Technically he's been in the ring with both Klitschko s ( with wlad for Ocean's eleven movie) and technically not losing to either brother. That is dominance.

    Fightsnews also reported on laces causing the cut. Vitali was winning the match on all thee cards by 2 rounds at the time of stoppage. The Wlad appearance was for a movie.

    Four cuts on the face and one in the mouth , resulting in 60 stitches, Lennox sure must have been busy with those laces!lol
    • Klitschko required 60 stitches to repair four cuts on his face and one cut in his mouth.
    • HBO's Harold Lederman had the fight scored 57-57 after 6 rounds.
