    in the old days a young up and coming fighter would fight for one of those intercontinental belts

    now they fight for these things, and parade them around claiming they are legit champions....

    still, he's one of the, if not the, best prospect in the division

    After Usyk and Tyson Fury retired Triple D will unify the belts and become undisputed in 4-5 years.

    Lol how did I miss this thread.

    I feel sorry for all who boarded this hype train to nowhere. Never has a British promoter done so much with so little with Dubois. Guy is probably somewhere between Audley Harrison to Danny Williams level at best. So a domestic level heavyweight who has no business on the world stage.

    Dubois is an OK boxer he lacks in technical skills and heart but he has some good physical ability and power.

    Not every fighter can be a truly elite great, there is a place for Dubois in the division, he can beat some fighters.

    The best thing about boxing is the human moments it can provide. You can tell how much this means to Dubois whose confidence was probably shot down to utter shits after the Joyce and Usyk defeats. But this gives him the vindication to continue pursue his career and believe in himself every time he steps in there.

    AJ literally allowed DDD to take a mile right from the get-go. DDD went in there. Zero thinking or care. And just bashed AJ up. Damn. The entire time AJ keeping his hands down like stiff jabs and right hands aren't coming his way...

    Fighters like Dubois are why losing once or twice in boxing shouldn’t be the end of the road. Fans were writing him off after the Usyk fight and he came back with 3 great wins.

    The jab couldn’t miss. It was popping Joshua’s head back from the start. I think Joshua was looking for his signature overhand right over Dubois’ jab, but he couldn’t time it. The concussive beating would have been one of the main reasons why, but that jab was quick and had zero telegraph.
