First off any talk of either man or anyone in these fantasy fights being blasted out in 6 to 9 minutes is ridiculous and disrespectful.

Secondly, what a match-up. Froch does have boxing skills but refuses to use them. If he worked that jab as he always should Benn would have trouble. And Benn did duck and weave a little bit too low and the ref would pick up on that. Both men have the biggest hearts and balls. And both men would get hurt. Benn's contstant movement would be a worry for Carl and Froch does have a tendency to throw hail mary's a bit too much and miss.

This would go into the Championship rounds with Benn, I think, stopping Froch in the 10th.

And then a couple of hospital beds would be booked.

    lol controversial

benn wins this easily. i agree with whoever said mid-rounds stoppage/ko

although maybe froch would respect benn enough to actually his jab and some defence

Any victory inside 3-4 rounds would require either man to go hell for leather for that time and show complete disregard for the other person's abilities. Benn and Froch would have too much respect for one another's power alone. The first round or two would be the feeling out phase.

    For crying out loud.

prime Benn without question, and I reckon by late stoppage.

You just know that Froch would wind Benn up that much that Benn would want to go in there and **** him up.

Only issue Benn would have had was the fact that he had slightly above average chin, but he would negate that on pure heart and will power.

Froch isn't a big enough puncher to get Benn out of that 'I'm about to but can still take your head off' routine.

He might well come out bombing like he did against noted big puncher Barkley.

I agree, Benn would jump on him from the 1st ring a ding & proberbly froch would tag him but that would only bring out the beast in nigel as we know & what with froch's macho ego he'd stand straight in front of Benn & that would be the end of him IMO & as you said froch ai'nt got the whack or combinations too fend Benn off & with that chin stuck out & low dragging left hand he'll get smothered in violence.

Great fight! I reckon Carls superior chin would be the difference with Carl stopping Benn late on

He went toe to toe with G-Man but would have respect for Frochs power??Benn wasn't in the business of feeling out opponents. If he knew he was fighting a crafty guy, he would start slower so not to be burned out like he was with Watson and Eubank.

With Frochs defense and lack of speed, he would be all over him from the opening bell. Taylor had a field day in the early rounds but he is not a natural finisher. I shudder to think how many Nigel would have landed early doors as Froch is taken aback by the speed, ferocity and output of Benn.
Everytime he connected with something tasty, Benn would have went jumped in to finish the fight.

I reiterate Froch out in 2.

Watson and Eubank showed the blueprint but Froch has not got the defence, footwork, speed or ring smarts to carry it out.

Nice one fellas. I think it's pretty unanimous that Benn would win judging by some of the scenario's on here. I think an early stoppage is out of the question and is doing a disservice to both men and the size of their cajones. People who say Benn was just a brawler i feel is a little of the mark. On the whole he was, but with his experience of defeats he became lot more than just a brawler. Froch's ability to box is also underrated.
An exciting matchup no doubt! Benn late stoppage, or a clear but hard fought points win. A couple of reserved beds at the hospital i feel after this one.

There is no disservice getting taken out early by Benn. I just think he's taylor made for him.

Now a Eubank match up is an interesting and more winnable fight for Froch...
