Well, it could be tough to get down to 168, but rehydrated he's presumably going to have a big weight advantage

Ward's not going to travel for fight night, why would anyone expect him to travel weight classes at the bargaining table?

He's not moving up until he has to, and Chad knows that. If Dawson didn't move down, this fight doesn't get done.

  5. Dawson announced into a public mic on National TV that he would come down to 168 for Ward. You think Ward was gonna let him get outta that?

dawson made it abundantly clear on national television that he would gladly come down to 168, and that he could easily make 168, yet instead of accepting any outcome, people are already making excuses for a dawson loss. this gets old guys.

They are not making excuses for Dawson, they are looking for ways to discredit Ward.

there's no need for that,Sven Warddke is doing a great job for himself,he doesn't need anyone else discrediting him

Ward don't need Dawson? nobody seems to like Ward anymore. Chad Dawson is the more proven fighter and more proven champion.

Ward should go up to fight Chad Dawson its the natural progression. Dawson going down in weight does not make sense, did Sugar Ray Leonard call Marvin Hagler down to welter weight? No.

Chad Dawson was abit if a ****** saying he will go down to 168, he will be weight drained to ****.

Ward will get little credit from me, if he faces Dawson at 168.

I'll just re-post part of a conversation I had with Lacy about this:

    I'll highlight the most important:
I don't think the weight as going to be as meaningful as all of that. It might be tough but he's got a fat lot of time, and if he was planning on this the night he beat Hopkins, that means he will not be getting out of shape post-fight, and will, if he has even the slightest sense, be working to get his weight manageable so that training camp isn't even focused on it, and it should be just fine.

Dawson dug his own grave with this one. He shoulda held out for 175 or at least 172 and no one would have blamed him if the fight didn't go ahead as a result of Ward refusing the catchweight as no one had expectations of him coming all the way down until he brought it upon himself.

    At 168 it's 60-40 Ward at 175 it's 55-45 Ward.

Chad deserves all the credit in the world though for making this fight happen. Shows he wants to be the best and is willing to take a big risk to achieve it. Wether he succeeds or not he deserves props for having balls to do it....kind like Bute travelling to England for Froch, he got his ass kicked but deserves props for risking everything anyways.
