Whoever sees this fight as a Mayweather win must see the Salido-Lomachenko fight as a Lomachenko victory.
Salido was less effective than Maidana when it comes to aggression, with Salido stealing some points on some people's scorecards because of 'aggression' as well as body shots which didn't actually land. Maidana threw numerous body shots that landed.

    Pretty much this.

If you are scoring the fight by punches landed it was a draw.

*******s are stuck on this because this is how they envision Manny to beat Floyd, throwing more but not landing more

Accuracy counts. As long as they land similar amount. Theres more to scoring then just clean shots but is a big factor. You cant judge a fight just on stats

Just because the punches landed were similar doesn't make the fight a toss up. The winner isn't based on the total amount of punches landed.

Example - after 11 rounds I land 100 punches you have 60, and I win every round 10-9. The final round you land 40 punches and I land 0, you win the round 10-9. Punch stats show it's even, but in reality I won 11 rounds and you won 1.

True, but what the OP is asking (I think) is within each round, do you favor busier/inaccurate or stingier/accurate.

The punch stat that maidina landed 10 shots less is bs..he threw more and landed more.plus he was the aggressor,he should of been given the W...!

This thread title implies that anyone who picks "Busier fighter" would have given Paul Williams the nod over Erislandy Lara...

He threw twice as many, that's for sure.

Compubox was highly generous to Maidana, that is also for sure.

Its also clean effective punching not just clean. Mayweather's counter right hand clearly wasn't very effective at stopping Miadana.

Conversely Miadana's volume punching was effective in keeping Mayweather against the ropes stuck in his guard.

    So which was effective?

Why has no one brought up,the fact that body punching always seems to be over looked?
