would you agree: 1880s: John L. Sullivan 1890s: Jim Corbett 1900s: Jim Jeffries 1910s: Jack Johnson 1920s: Jack Dempsey/tunney 1930s: Joe Louis 1940s: Joe Louis (2) 1950s: Rocky Marciano 1960s: Muhammad Ali 1970s: Muhammad Ali (2) 1980s: Larry Holmes 1990s: Lennox Lewis 2000s: Vitali Klitschko/wladimir who do you see as next(2010s),anyone?
Maybe Povetkin if he learns from the beatdown he is going to get from Wlad shortly. He is being rushed and his entourage and management team are money-grubbers. Hopefully, he will get new trainers and a team who will concentrate on developing him into the fearsome fighting machine he could be with time and many more developmental fights. If Wlad doesn't wreck him mentally like he did Peter then Sasha could rule for some years into the future.
povetkin, solis, and haye are the 3 to look out for. in the long run, i think the first 2 will wind up more successful.
Since you were willing to put 2 guys in the 20s, I think its only fair that your 1980s list should at the very least look like this..... 1980s: Larry Holmes/Tyson Ps. I agree with the rest of your list. :thumbsup
Very good list. Also I would eliminate Tunney and Vitali out of it. Tunney only had 8 fights at hw and avoided black fighters and Vitali´s opposition is far inferior to Wlad´s, Byrd and Ruiz would have more right to rank next to Wlad than his brother.
