Probably, but why at 160 though? Why not 147 since he plans on campaining there?

What would fighting Santos do for him?? He's not a champion? That's Margos beef. You said Santos like it would be a defining fight.

Santos just KO'd an undefeated prime title holder at 154...probably the best guy in the division.

More than likely, they couldn't find a suitable fighter at 147. More people will tune if he fights a no name at 160 rather than 147. At 160, the no names are bigger and stand a better chance. So they attract more viewers, and he gets a sterner test than he would against some WW no name before he defends his title at 147. Paul is a good fighter, but he still needs to improve. Fighting tough comp will help him improve.

1992-93 was when I lived there, but I still make the drive down to visit friends and catch the Colts from time to time. I was last down there in May visiting an old girlfriend. It's a fine town.

You keep saying campaigning like this, the ww division isn't where he's been fighting. This is where he's made his career at.

You beat me in the response but you are exactly in line with my thought. Fighting Santos will be at 154 and for a strap, plus pleople know who is him at least...

Anyway, Regarding the subject of PW being a definition of a true fighter... First of all, I respect all the guys who have the cojones to step in a ring to fight. PW has all the ingredients to become a great fighter however, he lacks the resume of one... Yes he beat Margarito, but afterwards... what happen??? I'm not dishing him by loosing to Quintana but come on... with so many good oponents out there... Fight someone who will be consider a risk for God sakes...

There's only one reason why a fighter will skip a whole division and go up to the next . . . weight problem. :D

True fighter? More of a bullcrap to me. :deal

Man, the Lions are still my team, but they have broken my heart time and time again. The Colts are my second team since I used to live there.

Last boxing match I saw in Indy was the Mosley/Forrest rematch with Tarver/Harding on the undercard. They need to have more boxing down there. Of course, they need to have more here in Detroit, too.
