But if he totally nullifies GGG and some combination of Kovalev, Stevenson, DeGale, Dirrell, and Groves I'll re-assess him.

You are absolutely spot on BUT we do have to wait and see how he finishes out his career. Some of the people in here like Drozzy have said Frochs a no talent cave man and that is WARDS BEST WIN so deduct one vote he is clearly biased...

I voted Ward SD, but I could see the fight going many ways. In england i could see it being stopped as a tko if Calzaghe lands a flurry of slaps before Ward has a chance to answer. Or even a disqualification, if Wards many, many fouls will actually be noticed by a ref (that would require for the fight to take place outside of oakland).

Realistically, it will come down to volume slapping from Joe vs precision fouling from Ward, and would be a close, dirty fight.

"No talent caveman"? Quote me instead of making sh!t up.

I'm not sure why my personal assessment of Froch's boxing skills matters so much in a Ward/Calzaghe thread... me saying Ward would win isn't based exclusively on the Froch fight.

If anything, Bute fans like me would be sh!tting on Ward and big-upping Froch since he streamrolled Bute. :blood

Yea you were saying it the during the build up to the Froch-Bute fight idiot. It does matter because if Frochs a bum and he is Wards best win then that speaks volumes for Wards record.

Calzaghe has far too many tools to lose to Ward.
It would be close for about 4 rounds then like always, Calzaghe makes adjustments and pulls away.

    Calzaghe UD, anywhere even Oakland.

Well given the fact that Froch-Bute was over 2.5 years ago, you Sir have an awesome memory.

Again, quote me or STFU. :good

Ward is one of the most the most versatile fighters today dude can box he can maul he can go lefty he has roughed up the roughest & out finesse the most finesse.

Calzaghe could hardly beat old man hopkins everybody he beat ward would beat easily. Kessler, eubank, old b hop, lacy, shot jones, reed lol ward beats all those guys with no problems.

But would a prime calzaghe beat a prime dawson what about a prime carl froch both those fights would be interesting & pick em fights.

Dudes really underrate how good dawson was & I would pick him over calzaghe. Joe has never ever fought anybody as fast, technical & long as dawson.

Yes dawson was mentality weak but a motivated dawson in his prime was dam near unbeatable. Yes he most likely was weight drained when he fought ward but ward beat that dude so easily that it wouldn't have mattered what weight the fight happen at.

Calzaghe most likely would beat froch but a determined froch would give him all he can handle.

Ward basically stood in front of froch & out fought him with one hand. Okay ward was a little tired in the last 2 round but froch still wasn't able to touch him.

Ward vs calzaghe would probably be the most anticipated SMW fight ever

One thing I've always admired about joe is how he always took it up a notch the kessler performance wad classic.

To me ward is just to complete & versatile mentality, physically & skillfully & would do what b hop was to old & to slow to do & that's keep up with joe's pace while at the sametime slowing his pace with the jab & inside fighting.
