Yeah, I know, but what the heck. This is my first "express" thread. I'm so excited!

Anyway, Boytsov, who is probably the most promising HW prospect / contender on the scene today, vs some tomato can named Greer, this Sat. (the undercard for Dimitrenko - Sprott.)

    All a-BOARD ! .............

I sure hope this fight will be broadcast. Does anyone know?

    - and don't overlook Andy Lee vs Brian Vera, Oct. 01.

    Lee has some skills.

(Crap, Did I just derail my own thread / train?)

I was really excited about Boytsov about five years ago, but since then he's pretty much only fought bums. I'm much less excited now. I wouldn't be surprised if Universum's plan was to just wait until the Klits are gone. Either one would eat Boytsov for lunch.

Well, of course he also a lot of time to his hand injury, but yes "Absurdium" is clearly holding him back.

That doesn't make him any less exciting, though, and he's still only what, 25?

Lord, how I want to see this fight.

its amazing how all the best prospects and all the best former champs or all the best top 50 guys all fight and beat up the same ****ing BUMS.....vitali klitschko takes off 4 years and comes back and fights sam peter who had the green belt... Boytsov from RUSSIA comes back after a year and fights a guy with 14 wins and digs him up all the way from st louis missouri in the u.s. ...aint there any bums a little closer to home he cant beat up on? friggin sad

Iceman, this is true & sad, but don't hold it against the fighters. Until you reach the level of a Klitschko or Mayweather, most fighters have to do what their handlers say.

BTW: According to Boxing Scene, Boytsov is currently ranked #6 by the WBA & WBC, and #7 by the IBF & WBO. I really like the guy, but that seems pretty high, considering who he's fought.

I liked Boystov when he was a bit lighter...he had really fast hands and some great power.

He's bulked up and still has the power although his speed is a bit less...I think he's a pinch slow for either Klitschko but really could beat a lot of top guys.

Hey, don't dismiss Greer completely. Yes, i called him a t-can, and he kind of is, but he's also a VERY hard puncher who can take advantage of an opponent who makes a defensive mistake.

Boytsov has always had excellent defense (at least in the fights on YouTube) so he should win easily, but only if he's on top of his game, so really this fight is not completely irrelevant.

I liken this fight to Mayweather - Ortiz. You pretty much know who's going to win, but it will probably be a decent fight & it will be fascinating to watch HOW he wins.

It's always a joy to watch a fighter with great skills, no matter who the opponent is. (OK, except maybe for Klitschko-Haye and Pac-Mosely.)

Is that verifiable? Rodriguez' camp made an offer to Universum, and they turned it down?
I thought GBP was handling Boytsov in the states, so wouldn't the offer have had to go to them?

Does anyone know if these fights will be broadcast in the us?

    - or some kind of live stream? I wouldn't mind seeing Dimitrenko, either.

    I'm on the express...

Do I think he fights a decent opponent:

Do I think he has a chance against a Klit:

Do I think he has potential:

Do I think his hands will hold up troughout his career:

He will KO Greer with ease... I will be surprised if this goes past 3 rounds, even one handed if neccesairy.
Still I'm excited about the dude. He fights like I think a heavyweight his size should, and like Haye was supposed to fight.
