Don't know if anybody has seen this Dick Tiger tribute..I just did and it's great: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkEpDvEeWr4[/ame]
Tiger was a class act . Known for his, less than sartorial elegance, he made a telling rejoinder," don't judge me by the clothes I wear, judge me on the clothes my children wear, "
Cheers rc I can remember my old grandad telling me that Tiger once said something along those lines, and being a bit of a natural trog myself, it's something that sticks. One of my grandad's favourite fighters and therefore one of mine by proxy. Bloody brilliant.
Yes, I've seen that video many times. One hell of a tribute for one hell of a champ...the background score is definitely fitting...African tribal warrior music for a warrior in the truest sense...a boxing champ and a war hero in Nigeria at the same time...the best ever fighter to come out of Africa IMO...It was really a shame that due to his involvement in the revolution, he was only allowed back into Nigeria after word of his cancerous liver.
