The difference between a white-collar fan 'n a grizzled vet

I would say an observer would be a fan as in a big fan like the people who post on here. Whereas an insider would be a trainer, manager, journalist with a boxing magazine or a newspaper in the old days, boxer etc...

 

Tommy Gallagher is a piece of work. Until your actually in the ring its kind of hard to understand boxing.
I would fight Mike Tyson at any point in his career for a million bucks because I know how to box, and Im pretty confident I could find a quick and safe landing onto my ass to get counted out without being chucked into the cheap seats.

 

Wouldn't you at least try to win?

I think i would do it...one thing i would do is a **** load of neck work in traing...lots of ab work...medicine balls to the stomach...get use to taking shots in sparrring some.... (but you dont want to be getting hammered) and i would train for 3 rounds...very little distance.mostly hill sprints..id just go out their and try to fight him hard..and i have done some boxing...so i am pretty sure i could get out of their without dying...its not like the guys that tyson fought in his first 10 fights where really much better then me...i wouldnt definitly take up the offer of fighting him for a million....

 

Hell no, wouldnt be possible, but I would look for the easiest way out of the fight without getting seriously hurt, or looking like Bruce Seldon. My approach would probably resemble something like Peter McNeelys, get inside as quickly as possible, except I would be more aware of the uppercut which I wouldnt want to get hit by. Id take an earmuffed hook to the side of the head and down goes me for the count.

Personally, Im somewhere in between.... I dont want to suck no pink meat & I dont want to get KTFO..... but for a million £/$.... Id happily take the KO loss given those particular choices.

Are you Michael Spinks, if you are, i have a big respect for you career up until Tyson, The Tyson fight stinks out you whole legacy and made you look yellow .......... Nobody is fooled about what Spinks did that night !!

 

Do we know for certain Tommy isn't horses hoof, and therefore would probably knob him for free?!?!?!

 

I'd like to think I would get in there and actually fight Tyson and not lay down (though the thought of me finding out I have an iron chin and Tex Cobb'ing my way through a one-sided ass kicking against Tyson is unsettling) but in truth I would take the dive and take the money and run.

 

Its funny you mentioned Spinks because I was going to use him as an example to all these keyboard warriors that said they would fight him and try and win. Spinks a decorated champion couldnt make it out of the first round with Tyson. If you want to call getting knocked unconscious with his eyes rolling in the back of his head, laying down, you really wouldnt be impressed with the way I would go down against Tyson.

 

I would try against Tyson, hell I dont think he is the hardest heavyweight puncher but i think hes quick so hed hit you with a punch you wouldnt see, knock you cold so you wouldnt feel it

 

Dont you weigh about 120 pounds?
