There will be random blood and urine now that he's with Mayweather. I've seen several people comment on the hypocrisy of The Mayweather camp now using the services of Alex Ariza, but the last time I checked, the Mayweaher's suspicions were targeted at Pacquiao, not Ariza. But as I've stated already, the difference is there will be random blood and urine testing for this fight.
Ariza with Pac: a supplier of PED's thru Ariza-Smoothies :rofl Ariza with Floyd: S&C Coach and a masseuse :rofl
Whoever thinks that random blood test and urine tests are a fail safe solution for PED's needs to have their heads examined. More likely, Floyd liked what he saw in Pacquiao, and wanted Ariza to do the same for him. So there's 2 possibilities: Either Ariza has revolutionary nutrition and training methods, or they are both on PEDs. I know what I believe.
Why risk having to cover up tests if you have plenty cash to pay for the best designer drugs out there? No tests available yet. That is how the world works. And with both fighters making as much as they are with this fight, they would have to be as dimwitted as a thoroughbred ***** or Pac****, to not get the best.
I'm not up on the latests designer PEDS although I understand EPO etc Are the tests fairly easy to get around? I'm guessing it's the same type stuff the 100m lads are taking.
Historically, tests have always been fairly easy to get around. It's harder to do now with athletes having in and out of competition testing, but by no means impossible. There's enough demand for designer undetectable drugs and doping methods, so the supply is there as well. Anything that helps the athlete train harder, recuperate quicker, build appropriate muscle type easier, etc. Epo was great for endurance, and it still is, designer varients etc. 100m runners would take different drugs from endurance sporters or boxers , some are the same , to just be able to train harder and more often , some are different for the specific demands of the activity that is supported by the drugs. But I cannot say I am a real expert either. Just a bit of medical background and common sense.
@repsaccer I actually agree with you on the part about Mayweather seeing something in Pacquiao's conditioning, that may have caught Mayweather's eye. But I don't think it was just Pacquiao, it was also Maidana in their first fight. Maidana' s punch output was very high in their first meeting and although he did tire, he set a pace early on that Mayweather had trouble keeping up with. In terms of random blood and urine, no, I don't think its full proof, but it is a deterent at the very least. And if it puts Mayweather and Pacquiao's mind at ease (Pacquiao is also all in now) then it should be good enough for the fans as well.
I think you're right, it's not only been Ariza's work with Pacquiao. He did "good" work with Maidana as well, among many others. However, the random blood and urine tests just ensure is that the guy with the best PED adviser has an edge on the physical side. I guess, since it was a breaking point for Floyd before, now he feels assured Pacquiao will not be doing anything Floyd is not doing , or doing better.
Marisa joining Floyd's team had more to do with Maidana and how the Garcia camp fired him. Floyd was being shrewd when he brought him in for the rematch. Same thing applies in this Pac fight.
I'm gonna have to do some research on PEDs. I'd be interested to know what kind of substances an athlete with an infinite budget would be taking.
