Thanks they do not call me a comedy genius for nothing.

Anyone who wants to compare a quality boxer like JC and an average boxer like Hatton need their head checking. Its like someone asking for a comparison between Ali and Bert Cooper.

    This sums up Hatton :

Even in defeat he turned it into a comedy moment.

I do not profess to be a good poster, but I know a damn more about boxing then you will ever know. :hi:

I preferred you when you were posting pictures of excrement. Stick to that sort of thing in future, and you will improve dramatically as a poster.

Why all the bitching ? Is it because you as living in scot**** have no real sporting heroes ? You guys have been deprived on the sporting front for decades and I guess this has hurt you mentally.

Doylexxx has been valid points about Hatton and only his nuthugging fans will argue against the points raised. Hatton would fail to make a UK top 20 let alone be compared to a great such as JC.

It's true, SleazeNation, Joe just never wanted any part of Roy Jones back in the day.

You think this would have been obvious from the way that Joe did not go to the US (like Hatton did), did not win a title in Jones's weight division (like Hatton did despite being far more comfortable at lww), and did not make a financial offer or pursue the fight in reality (like Hatton did). But apparently not!!!!

Mate you have a fair point there ,i cant deny that. But earlier in his career Calzaghe did make a deal to fight bhop, only for him to double his demand's.this shows they did try and get him some decent p4p contender's.

also Calzaghe was a champion for 10 years ,and you cant scoff at that achievement.

i cant argue with your point though.:good

Warren offered 3 million (dollars), 6 million was what Hopkins doubled his demand to after initially agreeing. Not sure which part you think is a lie as it's been confirmed by neutral sources and never denied by Hopkins.

Hopkins wasn't fighting 'top fights in Vegas' at that point in his career, he was fighting crappy fights in Philadelphia or AC. And getting roundly criticised for the standard of his opposition after beating Trinidad, as I recall: Daniels - Hakkar - Joppy - Allen.

Cobbler is actually right, Hopkins did pull out at the last minute... he was at Cardiff Airport when he realized he'd forgotten his ice skates...
